Albania will be looking to strengthen their position of Group E when they host the Czech Republic on Thursday night (19:45).

The hosts currently sit top of Group E with three wins, one draw and one loss from their first five games of the campaign, while the visitors have two wins and two draws from their first four games.

Albania vs Czech Republic Prediction

  • Draw @ 21/10
  • Nedim Bajrami to score anytime @ 9/2

Team News

Albania are set to be without centre-back Ardian Ismajli, while Marash Kumbulla is still out with a long-term knee injury.

As for the visitors, Jindrich Stanek and Alex Kral are both out injured, while David Zima and Jaroslav Zeleny were not called up to the squad.

Draw @ 21/10

Both teams have started the qualification campaign very strongly, so I believe draw is likely in Tirana.

Albania began proceedings with a 1-0 loss away in Poland before going unbeaten in all of their last four games having beaten Moldova, 2-0, Faroe Islands, 3-1, and Poland, 2-0, amidst a 1-1 draw with this week’s opponents.

The Czech Republic kicked-off their campaign with a 3-1 win over Poland, before drawing 0-0 away in Moldova followed by a 3-0 win in the Faroe Islands and the aforementioned 1-1 draw with Albania.

Both sides are in good form, and I believe there isn’t a lot to separate the sides, so I’m playing the draw.

Nedim Bajrami to score anytime @ 9/2

Nedim Bajrami has been the top performer for Albania, scoring three goals in his last four matches while also registering one assist.

The Sassuolo midfielder has netted twice so far for his club this term but his recent form for his country makes him a decent shout to score anytime here.
