Team News
Senegal will miss the leadership of veteran centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, who will be suspended for this game after being sent off in his nation's final group game against Benin.
Ilay Camara and Assane Diao remain on the treatment table for the Teranga Lions but regulars such as Sadio Mane, Ismaila Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye will be available for selection.
As for Sudan, Abuaagla Mohamed, Abobaker Eisa and Adil Salaheldin will miss out here due to various injuries.
Senegal vs Sudan Predicted Lineups
- Senegal: Mendy; Diatta, Seck, Sarr, Diouf; Sarr, Gueye, Camara; Ndiaye, Diallo, Mane
- Sudan: Abooja; Mohamedein, Abaker, Kersa, Zaid; Awad, Adil; Al Gozoli Nooh, Abdallah, Mozamil; Mano
Senegal are massive 1/6 favourites for Saturday's contest, giving them an implied win probability of 85.7%, the draw is 5/1 and Sudan are 22/1.
Nicolas Jackson currently leads the anytime goalscorer market at 11/10 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1/1.
Senegal vs Sudan Stats
- These sides have met seven times previously, with Senegal undefeated, recording four wins and three draws
- Senegal have outscored Sudan 8–1 across their previous seven meetings
Correct Score - Senegal 2-0 @ 7/2
Senegal should ease past Sudan and book their place in the quarter-finals, but seeing as though their outright price is 1/6, I've opted for a correct score prediction for added value.
Sudan are the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, and they've scored just one goal at the tournament so far - and they drew a blank against Senegal in a World Cup qualifier in September.
In addition, the Sudanese have overachieved to make it to this stage, through a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea, but they suffered losses against Algeria and Burkina Faso to nil.
So, I'm backing a comfortable win for Senegal and predicting a 2-0 triumph.

Nicolas Jackson to score anytime @ 11/10
Jackson was benched in Senegal's final group game against Benin but I'm expecting him to lead the line here in the first knockout-stage fixture.
The Bayern Munich forward has two goals to his name already at this year's tournament and can certainly get on the scoresheet against the lowest-ranked side left in the competition.
