Our Cross-European Trebl;e returns to the usual Portugal, Italy and Spain format this week as our tipster has three bets from three different markets for his Saturday selection.

This week his three tips come in a hair over 3/1, so check out his Football Acca Tips for this weekend below for the latest edition of the 3-3-3 column and his Saturday Football Tips...

Football Acca Tips - Cross-European Treble

  • Como v Cremonese - Back Both Teams to Score @ 11/10
  • Mallorca v Alaves - Back over 1.5 goals @ 4/7
  • Estoril v Sporting Lisbon - Back Sporting to win @ 1/3
  • Treble Odds @ 3.29/1

Welcome to the 3-3-3 betting column. Why is it called that? Glad you asked.  It’s not a formation to play when you’ve had a man sent off but rather:

3 - The number of different selections making up the acca.

3 - The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.

3 - The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.

And it really is as simple as that. The selections can be from any betting markets, as long as they meet the criteria set out above.  And to round things off, every week I’ll leave you with a cool (or at least I think so) bit of trivia involving one of the teams featured in the acca. Simples...

2025-26 season Current P and L: -0.29pts

2024-25 season’s P and L: +16.9

Just one out of three last week as we looked to kick on from the previous week’s win but this time it was over before it had really begun. Real Madrid had plenty of the ball and plenty of chances to win with three goals in the match but didn’t take them, and it ended just 2-0. Elsewhere, Lens and Lille only mustered four cards between them when we needed a least five, before the Lazio v Roma match provided the only winning leg of the week with Roma winning 1-0 when we needed one of the two to keep a clean sheet. Which of course, Roma did.

We have, by the way, made a note of Roma’s tendency for under 2,5 goals matches, matches where ‘no’ is a good bet on ‘both teams to score’ or other ways of siding with low-scoring affairs when they’re playing. The week before we had them for under 2.5 goals and that won, as well.

So no win on last week’s column, putting us marginally back in the red, but we at least learnt something for future reference.

  • Como v Cremonese
  • Saturday September 27 14:00
  • Selection: Back both teams to score @11/10

Hands up if you thought Como v Cremonese was going to be the first of our featured matches this week. No, me neither. But in what is a heavily stats-based tipping column, there’s a bet here that’s hard to ignore.

Before we get to it, a reminder that there’s no one way to play this column, there are several. And one of them is to go with an odds-against shot, giving far greater freedom when it comes to the other selections, which can be at far shorter prices, and still get the treble to 3/1 or greater.

The ‘problem’ of course, is that an odds-against shot of any description is more likely to lose than win. Then again, this is a betting column so we can’t look at things purely from that angle and it wouldn’t be a betting column if we weren’t taking some sort of risk, would it?

But let’s go back to the bet. Como had an excellent Both Teams to Score (BTTS) strike rate at home last season with 68% of their games seeing that selection win, including each of the last four. This season they’re one from two at home.

This week they’re at home to Cremonese – which to me sounds more like a rich dessert than a Serie A team - who had a 62% strike rate for BTTS matches away from home in 2024-25 down in Serie B. For the record, their home record was even stronger for BTTS matches last term at 66.7%.  They’re one from two for BTTS games away this campaign, after beating Milan 2-1 last time out.

I think Cremonese will give this a good go here. Either way, all the stats suggest this should be a shade of odds-on, at least, so the 11/10 will be an excellent starting point, if it comes good.

  • Real Mallorca v Alaves
  • Saturday September 25, 2025
  • Selection: Back over 1.5 goals @ 4/7

This is another match that may not be the most obvious of fixtures to focus on but is another with a good goals-related bet going.

The bet here is that we’ll have at least two goals in the match and we’re going for that because the stats back it up, obviously.

Alaves had a 73% strike rate for over 1.5 goals games last season in away matchers, while Mallorca had a 63.2% strike rate for two or more in home games last term.

It’s a bit of a concern that Alaves are just 1/3 away this campaign for over 1.5 games but then again, they’re 3/3 at home, while Mallorca are 3/3 at home and 2/3 away, showing there’s a decent number of goals in their matches these days.

  • Estoril v Sporting Lisbon
  • Saturday September 27 20:30
  • Selection: Back Sporting to win @ 1/3

Estoril mounted a monumental comeback last season going from relegation candidates to a very respectable 8th

But, for whatever reason, things have been harder this time round. It’s just one win in six this term, with two draws and three losses.

One of those was at home to Santa Clara and that’s a red flag right there.

No such problems for Sporting this term. Six league matches, five wins. One Champions League match, one win.

Things were pretty comfortable for the Lions last term, winning 3-0. The times before that it was 1-0, 2-0 and 1-0 to Sporting, so an away win of any description should really be a safe choice.

Jamie’s Fun Fact

It’s now four matches in a row that Sporting have beaten Estoril in Estoril and all without conceding. The last time Estoril scored, winning in the process back in 2018, Sporting’s side had some pretty famous names including: Fabio Coentrao, William Carvalho, Rui Patricio and…Bruno Fernandes, no less.
