Atletico Madrid (H) to beat Arsenal @ 9/5
Atletico Madrid are the clear underdogs in their Champions League semi-final with Arsenal and they are marginal underdogs on the night on Wednesday as well, making them a risk worth taking with their home advantage.
Los Colchoneros have been in mixed form overall, but in terms of La Liga they haven't had a great deal to motivate them for some time now. Atleti have been comfortably in the top four but out of title contention for a number of weeks, leaving them free to focus on cup commitments.
In contrast, Arsenal have been fighting on multiple fronts and appear to be running out of steam. The Gunners have won just two of their last seven, losing four, and were fortunate to claim three points against a similarly out of sorts Newcastle side at the weekend.
Atletico have seven wins in their last nine home games and their only losses during that run have come against Barcelona, and one of those defeats came in the Champions League, where that loss was still enough to progress, and that suggests they can seize a first-leg advantage on Wednesday.
Boreham Wood (H) to beat Forest Green @ 5/6
Our second selection requires less of an explanation as Boreham Wood are deserved favourites for their National League play-off with Forest Green Rovers.
The Wood won their final six home games - a run that included a victory over champions York City - and they should be able to make the most of their home comforts by beating Rovers.
Forest Green have been poor travellers this season and have six defeats in their last 10 trips.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Den Bosch (H) to beat Almere City @ 6/4
Den Bosch and Almere are bidding to reach the top-flight in the Netherlands and the hosts look well placed to open up a first-leg lead.
Den Bosch beat the visitors twice during the regular season, winning 5-2 when they met at this venue, and Almere tended to struggle on their travels - losing 10 of their 19 trips.
Almere have lost three of their last four games and may find themselves with a deficit to recover when they host Den Bosch in the return leg.
Platense (H) to beat Santa Fe @ 5/6
In the Copa Libertadores, Brazil's Corinthians have seized control of Group E after opening their campaign with two wins, but Platense can strengthen their case for the other top two spot by beating Colombia’s Santa Fe in an 11pm Wednesday kick off.
The Argentinian side have struggled domestically, but this competition could prove to be a welcome distraction as they won at Penarol in their last game and put in a reasonable display in defeat to Corinthians.
Santa Fe have just one point to show from their two games so far and have won just two of their last nine away from home across all competitions; they could come unstuck here.
Sporting CP (H) to beat Tondela @ 1/8
The final selection is not one to add too much value to the overall acca, but it seems as much of a certainty as you can find, with Sporting CP expected to make light work of lowly Tondela in Portugal's Primeira Liga.
Sporting may have only won one of their last five in all competitions, but they have won all of their last six against Tondela and conceded just one goal in the process.
