Football Odds

Arsenal (H) to beat Atletico Madrid @ 8/13

Arsenal may feel they should have brought back an advantage from Madrid, but the Gunners can still be confident of getting the job done back in north London.

Diego Simeone's side were strangely subdued at the Metropolitano bar a short spell after half-time and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

They were beaten 4-0 at the Emirates earlier in the competition and, while it should be closer this time, Mikel Arteta's side were excellent in the weekend win over Fulham and can return to Europe's premier game for the first time in 20 years with a win over the La Liga outfit.

Airdrieonians (A) to beat Alloa @ 13/10

Third tier Alloa face Championship side Airdrieonians at Recreation Park in their first leg as the promotion/relegation play-offs commence in Scotland.

Airdrie boss Aaron Taylor-Sinclair saw his side held to a nervy 1-1 draw at Greenock Morton on Friday to put them into this scenario. The Diamonds come into this game unbeaten in four games and having scored seven goals.

Hosts Alloa have won just two of their last nine in League 1 and were beaten 4-1 at home by Queen of the South on Saturday. They may come up short against Airdrie.

Queen of the South (H) to beat Stenhousemuir @ 5/4

The aforementioned Queen of the South should be feeling good about themselves after scoring four times in that weekend win over Alloa.

They are unbeaten in 10 home games against Stenhousemuir, winning five of the last seven.

The Doonhamers are on a nine-game unbeaten run, scoring 17 goals and can edge out a visiting Stenny side who have conceded only 27 times in 36 league starts.

Dunfermline (H) to beat Arbroath @ 23/20

Dunfermline and Arbroath played out a goalless draw in the Championship on Saturday at East End Park and they go again on Tuesday evening in the first leg of their promotion play-off, with the winners to face Partick Thistle next.

Neil Lennon's Pars have a Scottish Cup final against Celtic to look forward to later this month, while Arbroath have managed just one win in their last six games, failing to score in three of the last four.

The hosts can take a slender advantage from this first leg.

Hamilton to beat Forfar @ 8/13

Hamilton Accies have found some form at just the right time and can win their first leg against League 2 outfit Forfar.

Accies picked up a hat-trick of wins in League 1 prior to Saturday's 2-1 loss at champions Inverness Caley Thistle.

The visitors could have snatched a draw had Oliver Shaw converted from the penalty spot in stoppage time.

Forfar are in decent tune too, with four wins in their last five in the fourth tier, but Darian MacKinnon's visitors may prove too strong at Station Park.
