Morecambe to beat Hartlepool
Morecambe are fighting hard to avoid a second successive relegation and they can boost their National League survival hopes by defeating Hartlepool at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
There has been an upturn in Morecambe’s performances since the start of February when club legend Jim Bentley returned for a second spell in the Shrimps’ dugout.
Bentley inherited a side firmly entrenched in the relegation zone and has made them much more competitive.
Morecambe have taken seven points from their last four matches and they have a decent chance of defeating playoff-chasing Hartlepool, who they held to a 1-1 draw at Victoria Park back in November.
Hartlepool remained in top-seven contention after Saturday’s hard-fought 1-0 win at home to Eastleigh, but they have scored just two goals in their last four matches and could be swept aside by the attack-minded Shrimps, who have netted 19 goals in their last seven fixtures.
Rochdale to beat Scunthorpe
Rochdale are battling it out with York in a thrilling National League title race and they can edge a step closer to promotion by defeating fifth-placed Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.
Jim McNulty’s Dale have racked up 94 points from 39 matches but they will need at least a few more wins to finish at the top of the pile.
However, they showed their resilience at the weekend with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory at home to Tamworth, and can follow up by seeing off Scunthorpe, who are 21 points below them.
Scunthorpe solidified a playoff place with Saturday’s hard-fought 3-2 triumph at Braintree, but they could be edged aside by ultra-consistent Dale, who have won 18 of their last 23 league games.
Southend to beat Woking
Southend are looking to force their way into the playoff places and they can pick up a vital three points with a home win over Woking.
Home form has been key for the Shrimpers, who have gathered 35 points from 18 games at Roots Hall.
Kevin Maher’s side suffered a setback on Saturday, losing 1-0 at Altrincham, but they can bounce back against the Cards, who have lost four of their last seven away league games.
Forest Green to beat Tamworth
Sixth-placed Forest Green have won three of their last four matches and they are playing well enough to defeat mid-table Tamworth at the Lamb Ground.
Tamworth can be awkward opponents on their artificial surface but they could be edged aside by Robbie Savage’s Rovers, who are closing in on securing a playoff spot.
Wealdstone to beat Yeovil
Wealdstone have moved on from last season’s relegation battle and can stay on course for a top-half finish by defeating Yeovil at Grosvenor Vale.
The trip to London could be a tough one for the Glovers, who have been beaten in 12 of their 18 fifth tier road matches.
