Joelinton (Newcastle United vs Manchester City, Sat 17:30) @ 15/8

Joelinton avoided a booking in his first six career appearances against Manchester City, but he’s now been cautioned in his last four games against the Citizens.

In last season’s corresponding fixture, he committed three fouls, with one, on Erling Haaland, earning him a yellow card in the 63rd minute.

The Brazilian missed his side’s 4-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium in February due to injury, but he ended the league campaign with 10 yellows in 29 appearances.

Football Odds

Joelinton has only been booked twice in nine Premier League outings this term, but he’s received a couple of yellows for the Magpies in their Uefa Champions League campaign and has been awarded one yellow in the Carabao Cup.

The 29-year-old is averaging 1.2 fouls per game, and while he was forced off in the 24th minute of Newcastle’s last game, a 3-1 defeat at Brentford on November 9, he’s expected to be fit for Saturday, and he is always a likely candidate to receive a card.

Joao Palhinha (Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur, Sun 16:30) @ 7/5

We could see sparks fly in Sunday's north London derby at the Emirates Stadium, with Spurs midfielder Joao Palhinha likely to be at the forefront of the action.

The Portuguese international was booked 27 times across two Premier League seasons (2022/23 and 2023/24) for Fulham before leaving for German giants Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024.

After a difficult campaign in the Bundesliga, he returned to England in August on a season-long loan, and he's already been shown four yellows for Spurs, three of which have been awarded in 11 Premier League appearances.

Premier League Odds

Palhinha was booked in Spurs' last match, a 2-2 draw with Manchester United on November 8, and he has a career yellow card to his name at the Emirates, receiving a caution for Fulham in a 2-1 defeat there in August 2022.

Arsenal possess plenty of tricky players that could tempt Palhinha into a yellow or red-card challenge, chiefly Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, who are averaging 2.1 and 1.1 fouls won per game, respectively, in this season's Premier League.

Leny Yoro (Manchester United vs Everton, Mon 20:00) @ 5/1

Manchester United centre-back Leny Yoro picked up five yellows in 21 Premier League appearances last season, despite starting just 12 times.

The 20-year-old wasn't a complete stranger to the referee's notebook in Ligue 1, either, receiving five yellows in 32 games for Lille during the 2023/24 season, but he faced even more problems in 2024/25 as he struggled to adjust to life in the top tier of English football, not helped by the majority of his teammates.

Today's Football Fixtures

Yoro has featured in all 11 of Man United's league games this term, starting seven times, although Harry Maguire was preferred to him at Spurs last time out.

However, Maguire was forced off in the 72nd minute at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with an injury, presenting another chance to Yoro, who will hope to get the nod on the right of a back three against Everton on Monday.

Should he start, the Frenchman will have a tough task on his hands to contain Everton's on-loan left winger, Jack Grealish, who is still under contract to the Red Devils' cross-city rivals, Manchester City.

Grealish has made a positive impact at Everton during his first few months at the club, scoring once and registering four assists, while he has been fouled more times (33) than any other Premier League player this season.

Sunderland defender Trai Hume was booked for taking the 30-year-old down in a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light on November 3, following West Ham United's Kyle Walker-Peters, Liverpool's Conor Bradley, Aston Villa's Matty Cash and Brighton & Hove Albion's Mats Wieffers as right-backs to have been shown a card for fouling Grealish.

Yoro, operating as something close to a right-back at Old Trafford on Monday, could follow suit, at a very enticing price of 5/1.
