Football Acca Tips: 27/1 treble in Premier League Cards Acca GW16

I went one-for-three in last week's Premier League Cards Accumulator, with Wolves' Ladislav Krejci, at 9/4, the only one to come up trumps against Manchester United, although Sunderland's Nordi Mukiele, at 16/5, can be commended for his efforts, committing a couple of fouls in the first 15 minutes against Manchester City. Brighton's Carlos Baleba, like Mukiele, also made two fouls for his side against West Ham United, but managed to avoid a booking in east London.
Undeterred, I return with my Football Acca Tips for Gameweek 16, with one pick for Saturday's games, and two for Sunday's.

Malo Gusto (Chelsea vs Everton, Sat 15:00) @ 7/2
It took less than 20 seconds for Nottingham Forest right-back Nicolo Savona to go into the referee's notebook for a foul on Everton winger Jack Grealish in last Saturday's 3-0 win for the Toffees at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Savona joined Brighton's Mats Wieffer, Aston Villa's Matty Cash, Liverpool's Conor Bradley, West Ham's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Sunderland's Trai Hume and Manchester United's Casemiro as players who have been booked for fouling Grealish in the Premier League this season. All of them, except Casemiro, were playing at right-back or right wing-back, while Crystal Palace's right wing-back, Daniel Munoz, also picked up a yellow against Everton for remonstrating with the referee after Grealish had fouled him.
Grealish is averaging three fouls won per game, so it's no wonder he has attracted so many yellow-card challenges, and that makes whoever is marking him next a prime candidate in the Player to Receive a Card market.
Chelsea's Malo Gusto, who has received two yellows and one red in 13 Premier League appearances (eight starts) this term - all in the same game against Nottingham Forest - could be next up on the Englishman's victim list.
Gusto was shown seven yellows and one red in 27 appearances (19 starts) during his first season at Chelsea before avoiding any dismissals in 2024/25, picking up four cautions in 32 matches (19 starts).
The Frenchman's most recent booking came in the Uefa Champions League, during a 3-0 victory over FC Barcelona at Stamford Bridge on November 25.

Noah Sadiki (Sunderland vs Newcastle United, Sun 14:00) @ 7/5
The perfect crime.
After receiving four yellow cards in his first 10 Premier League appearances, Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki has been walking a disciplinary tightrope ever since, with a fifth caution, before the Black Cats' 19th game on January 1 against Manchester City, set to earn the DR Congo international a one-game ban.
The 20-year-old has managed to avoid a booking in his last five matches against Arsenal, Fulham, AFC Bournemouth, Liverpool and Man City, which means he is available to start his first Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
This will be Sadiki's final appearance for Sunderland before he heads off on Africa Cup of Nations duty with his country next week, which will see him miss multiple Premier League games.
As a result, any ban he receives on Sunday, provided it isn't for violent conduct that goes beyond a red card, will prove inconsequential, as he will miss the rest of Sunderland's December matches anyway.
Therefore, Sunday's derby is something of a 'free hit' for Sadiki, who won't have to hold anything back in what is likely to be a hotly-contested clash on Wearside.

Lucas Paqueta (West Ham United vs Aston Villa, Sun 14:00) @ 8/5
West Ham playmaker Lucas Paqueta is no stranger to a card, picking up five, 10 and 10, respectively, in his first three Premier League seasons for the Irons.
This season, the 28-year-old looks set to smash his previous highs as he has already received seven yellows and one red in just 13 appearances, serving two suspensions already: one for an accumulation of yellow cards, and another for his dismissal against Liverpool on November 30.
Paqueta returned to action last Sunday in West Ham's 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, managing to avoid a card of any colour, but next up for the Irons is a home game against Aston Villa, an opponent the Brazilian has been a naughty boy against in the past.
West Ham's No. 10 has received a yellow in two of his three appearances against the Villans at London Stadium, including last season's corresponding fixture when he committed three fouls and was booked for one on Youri Tielemans. His first yellow against Villa, in the 2022/23 campaign, saw him handed a yellow for his fourth and final foul of the match, committed against John McGinn, who is known to be one of the trickiest players to handle in the Premier League.
McGinn is averaging 1.7 fouls won per game in the Premier League this season, and a few of his teammates, such as Boubacar Kamara (1.6), Tielemans (1.3), Morgan Rogers (1.1) and Amadou Onana (one), are also proving to be proficient at winning free-kicks, so Paqueta may have his work cut out on Sunday.
