Aberdeen vs Celtic Bet Builder Tips: Idah to strike in 7/1 shot

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has the chance to make history as the first boss to win three domestic trebles in charge of the Hoops when his side face Aberdeen at Hampden Park for the Scottish Cup final (15:00, BBC Scotland).
The Dons will be hoping for a better performance against the Celts after losing their last two games against them 5-1, with the latest coming as recent as May 14. Below you will find my Aberdeen vs Celtic Bet Builder Tips, which combine to make an enticing price of 7/1.

Celtic to win
Celtic have been far and away the best team in Scotland this season, which has also been the case for a very long time. The Celts head into Saturday's final unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, which included a 5-1 away victory at Aberdeen in the league.
Rodgers' side will hold the psychological advantage coming into the game, but it doesn't help the Dons that they lost by that same scoreline in the meeting before that at Celtic Park at the end of February.
Aberdeen have failed to beat Celtic in any of the five meetings between them this term in all competitions, a draw away from home in the league being their best result. The Hoops have bested Jimmy Thelin's side four times already, and I think this trend will continue on the biggest stage in which they will meet on Saturday.
Over 3.5 Celtic goals
Celtic's attacking stars have had plenty of joy when facing Aberdeen this season. In three of the five meetings so far, the Hoops have run riot. They have posted two 5-1 victories and one 6-0 - which came in the Scottish League Cup.
Rodgers' men have also shown their proficiency in front of goal towards the end of the season, with four of their last seven appearances in all competitions seeing them find the net on five occasions - one of which was against Aberdeen.
With the likes of Adam Idah, Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda, Celtic are blessed with lots of attacking quality and all three of these attackers have hit double figures for goals in 2024/25.
Each of them have all profited against the Reds this season, and I think they could collectively combine to help Celtic secure another high-scoring victory against Aberdeen at Hampden.
Aberdeen vs Celtic Stats
- Celtic have won four of the five meetings with Aberdeen this season
- They have scored three or more goals in three of them
- Adam Idah (CEL) has six goals in as many appearances
- BTTS has struck in three of their meetings this term
Adam Idah anytime goalscorer
The one player I'm putting my faith in to find the back of the net is centre-forward Idah. The Republic of Ireland international has played a starring role in his side's unbeaten run at the end of the season, scoring six goals in as many appearances.
He is in great form and should be full of confidence ahead of this cup final. The former Norwich City man was on the scoresheet in the most recent meeting with Aberdeen on May 14, while he has scored in the last two rounds of this competition.
Both teams to score
I do think Aberdeen have a role to play in this match, though, as it is a cup final after all. They're hoping to secure their first piece of silverware in 11 years, and they will be just as fired up as their opponents.
BTTS has been a winning selection in three of their five clashes in all competitions this term, including each of their previous two. There have also been goals at both ends in Celtic's past four matches heading into the weekend, so I think backing both teams to get on the scoresheet offers good value.
