Thursday will be the fourth time these sides have met in competitive action, with the head-to-head stats showing a pair of wins for the Germans and a draw. Frankfurt won 2-1 in the reverse of this fixture in Germany earlier in the campaign, and with Aberdeen yet to score their opening win in the pool, it’s plain to see why Betfred traders favour an away win on Thursday. The Dons struck late to beat Hearts here on Saturday after falling behind early in that contest, but that was a rare reason for manager Barry Robson to smile. The hosts are winless in their Conference League group and have won only one of their last five in the Scottish Premiership, sitting one point above the relegation zone.
