Malta take on Gibraltar in a friendly on Wednesday night to kick-start the first international break of the season.

Both these nations are at a similar level on the world stage due to having such small populations, but it should make for an interesting tussle on the field.

For our bet of the day, we have gone for Malta to keep a clean sheet. This is because Gibraltar have failed to score a goal in almost a year, having been comfortably beaten by the Republic of Ireland, France, the Netherlands and Greece this year.

Malta on the other hand have posted a 1-0 victory over Luxembourg recently and have been able to get on the scoresheet against other opponents including Estonia and North Macedonia.

It is also worth noting that in their previous meeting, Malta defeated Gibraltar 2-0 in another friendly which took place back in 2020.

This is why we feel that EVS is a great price for Malta to shut out Gibraltar once again.
