Liverpool host Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend and there’s one market in this contest which we have picked as our bet of the day.

There is an exciting battle in the Premier League taking place at Anfield on Sunday when Liverpool host Aston Villa. Both teams have had decent starts to the season and both will have ambitions of finishing in the top four this term.

It is early into the season but there is a lot riding on this fixture as both clubs will have their sights on Champions League football next year. We have seen several players open their accounts for the season for both sides in the Premier League so far, so there is a lot of quality taking to the pitch this weekend. At the moment, Liverpool still feel like they are getting to grips with their new midfield but they did excellently to win 2-1 with 10-men against Newcastle United last time out.

As for Villa, after cruising past Everton, they turned in another excellent performance at Burnley to win their second match in a row, further highlighting the impact Unai Emery has had at Villa Park. Right now there is very little to separate these two sides and Villa are not to be underestimated.

There is likely going to be a few goals in this one but it feels as though the two teams could be locked in a stalemate, which on paper would be a great result for both.
