Poland travel to face Albania on Sunday evening in a Euro 2024 qualifier and there is a market in this match which we have selected as our bet of the day.

Football Bet of the Day – Sunday

  • Robert Lewandowski to score a brace – 7/1

Poland have had a mixed start to their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign in Group E. They have won two of their four matches played so far while losing the other two.

They will face a test on Sunday evening when they travel to face Albania on Sunday evening, who have won two matches in a row against Moldova and Faroe Islands.

However, they were beaten 1-0 by Poland in the first qualifier back in March. Karol Swiderski was the match-winner on that occasion. The visitors will take confidence from that victory all those months ago, and they certainly need to start putting points on the board if they are to have a chance of making it to next summer’s tournament in Germany.

Luckily for Poland, they boast one of the best strikers in the world in Robert Lewandowski, who at 35 years of age, is still showing that he can deliver at the highest level after winning the Pichichi Trophy in La Liga last year as he helped Barcelona claim the league title.

Over the years, many have questioned his ability to be a game-changer as he hasn’t been as quite prolific for his national team. Of course many factors go into this, particularly the calibre of the players he is surrounded with on the international stage are considerably different to that of his club career with both Bayern Munich and now Barcelona.

Lewandowski headed into this international break in goalscoring form, having scored two goals in his first four La Liga appearances this term. And that continued into Thursday when he fired a brace past Faroe Islands.

The veteran forward is still out to prove people that he can thrive on the international stage, and he now has three goals in this qualifying campaign so far. He will be eager to add to his tally this weekend and we fancy his chances to bag another brace.

At a point in the campaign, three points against Albania will go a long way for his side and he knows that he is looked up to by his teammates, coaches and fans to deliver moments of magic.
