This should be a relatively entertaining game, even though we have very little to go on given the fledgling nature of the 2026/27 football season.

Oisin McEntee should line up in midfield for the visitors and he will be the destroyer, attempting to break up any Sturm Graz attacks. Since joining from Walsall in the summer of 2025 he has done pretty well for Hearts but picked up five yellows last season in the Scottish Premiership.

He could well have his hands full tonight, and he committed 1.28 fouls per 90 in the league, so I think he is the best priced to get a yellow card in this one. 

Claudio Braga to score anytime

Hearts are in search of a new goalscoring hero. The painful exit of captain Lawrence Shankland, who scored 88 goals in 171 appearances for the club, poured salt in the wound of a brutal end to the 2025/26 season. 

With Derek McInnes also now at Rangers, it feels like a new era has begun at Hearts under Wouter Vrancken. I’m backing the Belgian boss to get the best out of Claudio Braga, who hit 14 Scottish Premiership goals of his own last season.

He has big shoes to fill, but Braga possess immense quality in front of goal, and I think he can find the net against this Austrian back line.
