13:10 Curragh – Alpha @ 5/6
Ryan Moore had the choice between a third of the field in this 7f maiden and it makes complete sense that he has opted to ride ALPHA here. This impeccably bred filly is out of Irish 1000 Guineas winner Alpha Centauri and could be one to follow.
She made her debut in a 7f maiden at Leopardstown earlier this month and a slow start prevented her from getting off the mark at the first time of asking. Very strong at the finish, she was closing with every stride and won't need to improve much in order to go one better.
14:10 Curragh – Silk Braid @ 4/1
Ger Lyons is always one to watch and he runs the twice-raced SILK BRAID here. She looked very smart when winning over course and distance on her debut in October. It's noted that the form of that race may not be the strongest but she got the job done in good style.
Connections decided to test her in Listed company at Navan after that and she ran a nice race, finishing second to last season’s impressive Norfolk Stakes winner Charles Darwin. Further progress is anticipated and she's entitled to at least make the frame here.
14:52 Uttoxeter – Kingston Narcissus @ 13/8
Champion trainer Skelton is operating at a very healthy strike-rate of 35 per cent at the moment and he has sent over a strong team for Uttoxeter's valuable card on Sunday. KINGSTON NARCISSUS runs in the £35k handicap chase and he's going the right way.
The son of Authorized has taken well to fences so far and he was a very impressive winner on his first start over fences for his previous trainer at Hexham last month. Second on stable debut at Worcester last time out, there should be plenty more to come from him.
15:20 Curragh – Purview @ 8/13
There's lots to like about the profile of Dermot Weld's lightly raced four-year-old PURVIEW and it's likely that the best is yet to come. An impressive winner on debut at Dundalk, he performed with plenty of credit when second in the Cashel Palace Hotel Derby Trial.
He was a short head away from winning a 1m1f Group 3 at Leopardstown after that and landed a Listed race at York two starts later.
Bolting up on his seasonal reappearance here last month, he could prove hard to beat if producing a similar effort this time around.
