1 pt 19:44 Newcastle – Glengar Vegas (T4) @ SP
Due to the extremely high temperatures, just one meeting takes place today with all eyes on Newcastle this evening for a mixed card featuring six open races. At 19:44 in the Time Greyhound Nutrition Northern Flat Trial Stakes open race over the four-bend 480-metre trip look out for GLENGAR VEGAS, who lines up from T4.
The Brian Fairbairn-trained middle seed looks well-drawn to lead middle to wide and if that happens the lightly raced September 2024 son of Ballymac Cashout will prove hard to beat. Droopys Bookem (T3) is a class act and rates as the main danger. Aiden My Boy (T1) bolted up on Newcastle debut clocking 28.83 and would be a runner with a ping break from his rails pitch.

1 pt 20:01 Newcastle – Foulkscourt Bono (T5) @ SP
The Arena Racing Company Sprint at 20:01 over the two-bend 290-metre trip can go to Doncaster raider FOULKSCOURT BONO in T5. The Glenn Foot-trained wide seed recorded a quick-away-made-all victory over course and distance in 16.71 a couple of weeks back and a repeat of that should see him make all again this evening and record his second victory at the north east venue.
As ever, the key to the race will be the break and run into the first bend, trap well and its race on. Niosfearrnabolt (T1) returned to action last week following a six-month layoff and bolted up, clocking 16.86 over course and distance, he enters calculations and would be a runner with a level break. Bramble Idris (T3) is a consistent performer around Newcastle and could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.

1 pt 20:36 Newcastle – Loxleys Forest (T1) @ SP
The third and final selection from Newcastle this evening is Nottingham raider LOXLEYS FOREST, who runs from T1 in the Arena Racing Company Stayers open race over the six-bend 640-metre trip. The Jason Gray-trained railer has plenty of four and six-bend form on his card and has previously run against the likes of Droopys Flare and Savanaregimental. This represents a good opportunity for the September 2022 son of Pestana to get back to winning ways following seven without a victory. All eyes on the break with Loxleys Forest looking to hold his rails pitch into the corner and lead round.
On the bunny, Loxleys Forest can use his four-bend pace to kick half a dozen clear and then its catch me if you can. Solo wide seed Romeo Elite looks well-drawn out in T6 and rates as the main danger. Taranis Qaroual (T4) is lightly raced and open to improvement. Significant market support would hint that a big run is expected on six-bend debut.
