Saturday Greyhound Tips: Three semi-finals tonight? Yes please

Our main man at the traps Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle) has provided chapter and verse on some of Central Park's standout contests tonight. Here are his selections on the Silver Salver semi-finals card.

1 pt 19:30 Central Park – Avarua Lake (T2) @ SP
All eyes on Central Park this evening with the two-bend 277-metre Category One Arc Silver Salver semi-finals taking centre stage. The first semi-final at 19:30 can go to Hove raider AVARUA LAKE from T2.
The Richard Rees-trained railer was narrowly beaten in the first-round heats when going down by a short head by Slaneyside Swade in 16.11. Tonight, if Avarua Lake brings his trapping boots and leads round a repeat of that time should be good enough to take this and book his place in next Saturday's £12,500-to-the-winner final.
Two qualify from each semi-final with Raha Jayjay (T1), Hackney Toast (T3), Headford Cian (T5) and Bucking Bucks (T6) all in with live claims. Bucking Bucks looks well-drawn as the solo wide seed in the race and enters calculations as a forecast mixer.

1 pt 19:50 Central Park – Shadow Storm (T1) @ SP
The second semi-final of the Arc Silver Salver can go to the current National Sprint and Arena Racing Company Scurry Gold Cup holder SHADOW STORM from T1.
The multiple Category One winner is a class act and bounced back to form last time out in the first-round heats of the Silver Salver recording a quick away made all success in 15:98 following a defeat the time before that in the Time Nutrition Sprint Trophy final on English Greyhound Derby finals night at Towcester.
Tonight, if Shadow Storm gets it right at the boxes, it should be all over bar the shouting by the first bend, and then it's all eyes on who turns second and grabs the all-important qualification spot.
Crafty Alejandro (T2) and Pavilion Team (T5) are both class acts on a going day and can battle it out for a place in final.

1 pt 20:10 Central Park – Nightingale Crew (T2) @ SP
The third semi-final of the Arc Silver Salver at 20:10 can go to Yarmouth raider NIGHTINGALE CREW from T2. The February 2024 son of Grangeview Ten has won five on the bounce in recent weeks, including an impressive one length win over this course and distance last week in the first-round of this competition clocking 16.06.
As ever over the sprint trip the break and run into the first bend will prove vital. It’s imperative that Nightingale Crew clears Zenith Scorpion (T1) at lid rise and grabs the rails; do that and it's race on.
Beaming Isla (T3) was a finalist in this Category One competition last year and has chances of booking her place in the final again.
Magical Luka (T4) needs no introduction. The former Ireland-based flying machine burst onto the scene this time last year and went onto break the four-bend track record at Romford. Lightly raced in recent months, the October 2023 son of King Sheeran would be a danger to all if he's back to form and pings the lids.
