Wednesday Greyhound Tips: Ava’s no Secret at Romford

Our resident Greyhound GOAT Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle) is here with another big three betting tips from across the UK's meetings. Today it is the action taking place in Romford that has caught his eye.

1 pt 19:27 Romford – Hillend Joan (T1) @ SP

Three from the London Road circuit Romford this evening on an ultra-competitive card. At 19:27, look out for HILLEND JOAN who lines up from T1 in the A9 graded race over the standard four-bend 400-metre trip. The Bernie Doyle-trained railer looks very well-drawn with a vacant box in T2 and Young Oreo keeping middle from T3. Joan is yet to win in seven races but has gone close in A7 and A8 company in recent weeks.

The drop into A9 should see Hillend Joan finally break her maiden tag. Da Young Lad (T5) is better known as a six-bend performer and rate as the main danger. The wide seed will be flying home and could be worth including in forecast bets. In a competitive race Roman Champ (T6) is another that enters calculations.

1 pt 21:11 Romford – Back To Front (T2) @ SP

The A11 graded race at 21:11 looks at the mercy of early-paced railer BACK TO FRONT who runs from T2. The Maxine Westwood-trained October 2022 daughter of Ballymac Best has a four from seven record in the grade and looks well-drawn to lead round and make all this evening. The key to the race is what happens at the boxes.

It's imperative that Back To Front clears Sparkling Katie (T1) at lid rise, grabs the rails and kicks clear of the chasing pack. Kingdom Monty (T3) drops into A11 company for the first time and is worth noting in the market. Bubbly Bluebird (T4) was A7 class at the turn of the year and looks well in now down in A11 class. He’s another with live claims. Fastlane Betty (T6) is capable of a ping break and stays well. She could go well at a price.

1 pt 21:28 Romford – Avas Secret (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Romford is early-paced railer AVAS SECRET, who runs from T1 in the A6 graded race at 21:28. The Maxine Westwood-trained July 2022 daughter of Ballymac Best has a solid five from twenty-one record in the grade and with a level break she can add to that this evening. On the bunny, Avas Secret is capable of clocking around the 24.35 mark, a repeat of that would see her take this by two or three lengths.

Avas Secret has recently returned to action following a 6-week spell off the track, two course and distance runs in as many weeks would have blown away the cobwebs, and she should be spot on now and ready to win again. Miami Beat (T3) and Kilara Bijoux (T6) can battle it out for the runners-up spot. Ah Well (T2) will be flying home and could go well at a price.
