DR Congo head to Belgium on Wednesday for a friendly against Denmark (8pm local/7pm BST) ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Denmark are not going on such an adventure this summer following their loss to the Czech Republic in the play-off final in March.

Read on for my Denmark vs DR Congo predictions, including the latest team news and match odds.

Denmark vs DR Congo Betting Tips

Team News

It feels like the beginning of a new era for Denmark as long-time goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has had to retire because of a shoulder issue. Jannik Vestergaard and Christian Norgaard have also bid farewell to the international stage.

Christian Eriksen may be in line to earn his 150th cap for the Red and Whites, while Will Osula will be hoping to make his debut.

Football Odds

Axel Tuanzebe (Burnley) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (West Ham United) are set to feature in defence for DR Congo, with both players having suffered relegation from the Premier League this season.

Premier League duo Yoane Wissa (Newcastle United) and Noah Sadiki (Sunderland) are also expected to start in attack and midfield respectively.

Denmark vs DR Congo Predicted Lineups

  • Denmark: Hermansen; Bah, Andersen, Hogsberg, Maehle; Eriksen, Hojbjerg, Hjulmand; Isaksen, Hojlund, Dorgu
  • DR Congo: Mpasi; Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Mbemba, Masuaka; Elia, Moutoussamy, Sadiki, Bongonda; Wissa, Bakambu

Denmark vs DR Congo Odds

Denmark are the clear favourites to win this game at 1/2 and they have won four of their last seven fixtures.

Two of their past four outings have finished level inside 90 minutes, with the stalemate here available at 11/4.

DR Congo are an 11/2 bet to come away with the victory.

Denmark's Rasmus Hojlund is the 5/4 favourite to score anytime.

Denmark vs DR Congo Stats

  • BTTS - Yes has struck in 4 of Denmark's last 5 matches
  • DR Congo have scored in all but 1 of their past 15 fixtures
  • Will Osula scored 5 goals in the final 7 games of the season with Newcastle

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 6/5

This contest will be seen as a good exercise for DR Congo as they prepare for their return to the world stage. Their form over the past year has been impressive and so they should be feeling optimistic heading to North America, but they will want to make the most of the two friendlies they have over the next week.

Denmark narrowly missed out on a place at the World Cup, so this will be a good test for the Leopards. Both squads have good attacking options, so Both Teams To Score - Yes seems generously priced at 6/5, which has an implied probability of 45.5%.

This bet has landed in four of Denmark's past five fixtures, while DR Congo have blanked in just one of their previous 15 outings.

Anytime Goalscorer - Will Osula @ 6/4

A strong end to the season with Newcastle could see Osula's career really take off next term on Tyneside. His goalscoring exploits will have no doubt caught the eye of Denmark boss Brian Riemer, who may now strongly consider handing the young striker his debut for the Red and Whites.

The 22-year-old heads into this camp in good form and he should be full of confidence. Whether he starts or makes an appearance from the bench, I believe he's worth backing to get on the scoresheet on Wednesday.
