Football Bet of the Day: Conference king Sarr to strike again?

We're in the business end of the domestic football season, and before we fully turn our attention to the World Cup, there's a UEFA Conference League final to watch between the Premier League's Crystal Palace and La Liga's Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday night in Leipzig (8pm BST, 9pm local time, live on TNT Sports 1).
That's where our Football Bet of the Day comes from, as the Eagles seek a third piece of silverware in a year, following FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs.

Crystal Palace have the chance to make more history on Wednesday night and send departing gaffer Oliver Glasner off on a high. The Eagles are favourites for this game - and rightly so, in my opinion, having beaten the likes of Fiorentina and Shakhtar Donestk on their way to the showpiece in Leipzig.
The Eagles have won five of their last seven matches in the Conference League, sharing the spoils in one, while Vallecano have lost knockout duels to AEK Athens and Samsunspor on their way to the final.
History is also on the side of Palace - English clubs have dominated this competition since its inception, and they can become the third London side in four seasons, following West Ham United and Chelsea, to lift the trophy.
One man who's been integral to Palace's success in this competition is Ismalia Sarr. The Senegalese forward has enjoyed a sensational campaign in front of goal for the Eagles, netting 21 times across all competitions, and he also sits top of the Conference League goalscoring charts with nine.
The 28-year-old has also scored in each of his last five appearances in this competition, including the winner against Shakhtar in the semi-finals.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Crystal Palace have won 5 of their last 7 matches in this competition
- Ismaila Sarr is the competition's top goalscorer with 9 strikes
That's why I'm backing the Palace forward to deliver on the biggest stage for the Eagles at 13/8. The former Marseille man is in decent form heading into Wednesday, scoring three in his last five outings across all competitions.
Across his 12 appearances in the Conference League, Sarr has registered two or more shots in 10 of those, suggesting that he should get into scoring positions in Leipzig.
Vallecano have kept just one clean sheet in their last four fixtures, and are on a nine-game unbeaten run, but I'd argue Sarr will pose the biggest threat on the pitch on Wednesday night.
