Monday Greyhound Tips: An Outlaw in Nottingham evokes folklore

1 pt 19:11 Nottingham – Bandit Outlaw (T2) @ SP

All eyes on Nottingham this evening with twelve races taking place, including eight opens. At 19:11 BANDIT OUTLAW looks well-drawn in T2 to lead round and make all and take this A1 graded race over the standard four-bend 500-metre trip. The October 2024 pup bolted up on Nottingham debut last week, clocking 30.13 following a smart 4.99 sectional.

Further improvement is likely from the former Irish-based runner, and he could make into a smart open race performer in the coming months. This evening it's all about the break, trap well, and he can make it two from two at Nottingham. Kellies Emerald (T1) is a consistent course and distance performer and rates as the main danger from a rail pitch. Wide seed Headford Spider (T6) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 20:54 Nottingham – Shelt Hill Rosie (T3) @ SP

At 20:54, SHELT HILL ROSIE lines up from T3 in a two-bend open race over the 305-metre distance. The Lynn Cook-trained railer has a six from thirteen record around Nottingham and has won two of her last three, including an impressive win last time out when sent off as the 4/7 favourite. Tonight, as ever, over the sprint trip, it's imperative that Rosie brings her trapping boots.

If she pops out and leads round this could be all over bar the shouting for those that have taken the likely short prices about the daughter of King Elvis. Coppice Ronnie (T5) looks well-drawn in T5 with railer Arthur Lobster in T4 and rates as the main danger. Solo wide seed Dunnanelly Fred (T6) is worth noting in the market. The former Dundalk-based Greyhound won well at Doncaster recently and would be a huge runner here with a smart exit on Nottingham debut.

1 pt 21:28 Nottingham – Da Don (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Nottingham this evening is smart sprinter DA DON, who lines up from T1 in the Sprint Trophy heats at 21:28. The Mark Russell-trained railer bolted up over course and distance last time out, recording a three and a half-length success in 17.72. The week prior to that run Da Don won by over seven lengths in 17.73, he’s clearly in flying form and will prove very hard to beat this evening.

Ferndale Power (T2) and Lov De Nitelife (T3) both have form over further and could be good forecast mixers. Gallant Star (T6) has some solid Irish former on her card and four-bend wins at Oxford. In recent weeks, she’s found life tough against the likes of Makeit Home and Pavilion Team but would be a danger to all with a ping break this evening.
