Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Prediction: Blues to end losing league run

A rare Premier League game kicking off at 15:00 on a Monday is our Bank Holiday treat as Chelsea host Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge (Sky Sports Main Event).
After sacking Liam Rosenior, Chelsea made it to the FA Cup final over the weekend, and they will hope to end their winless run in the Premier League against a Forest side desperate for points. Read on for my Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest predictions.

Team News
Interim head coach Calum McFarlane had a few encouraging comments regarding Reece James and Levi Colwill. The duo have trained this week, with Colwill on his way back from an ACL injury and James consistently troubled with issues.
Both are unlikely to start, with McFarlane likely to name an unchanged defence and midfield from the team that beat Leeds in the FA Cup. Malo Gusto and Tosin Adarabioyo will start with Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez starting in midfield.
Cole Palmer should be fit enough to start on the right, meaning Pedro Neto should switch to the left wing with Joao Pedro up top.
Nottingham Forest have to balance their survival bid with their Europa League semi-final coming against Aston Villa on Thursday, and Vitor Pereira may make a few tweaks to his side.
Chris Wood may be rested and so Lorenzo Lucca could lead the line, alongside Igor Jesus. James McAtee may start over Omari Hutchinson, while Ola Aina picked up a knock and so Zach Abbott may feature at right-back.
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Predicted Lineups
- Chelsea - Sanchez; Gusto, Adarabioyo, Chalobah, Cucurella; Lavia, Caicedo; Palmer, Fernandez, Neto; Pedro
- Nottingham Forest - Sels; Abbott, Milenkovic, Morato, Williams; McAtee, Anderson, Dominguez, Gibbs-White; Jesus, Lucca
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Odds
Chelsea are the 7/10 favourites to win this game, giving them an implied win probability of 59%. A draw is 3/1, Forest are 18/5 to take a crucial win.
Over 2.5 goals and BTTS are both 4/6, and Joao Pedro is the favourite to score first at 4/1.
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Stats
- Chelsea have lost their last five PL games without scoring
- Elliot Anderson has three yellows in his last seven PL matches
Chelsea to win and over 2.5 goals @ 11/8
I think we can now back Chelsea to end their losing streak in the league and pick up an important three points. They sit eighth now and will want to push on to secure a European spot of some sort, with the FA Cup final still to come.
Rosenior had clearly lost the dressing room, but there’s enough talent in this squad to believe that they will get back to winning ways. Forest need survival, but they also have bigger fish to fry in the Europa League, and may just come up short in the capital.

Elliot Anderson to get booked @ 11/4
Elliot Anderson should feature again in midfield for the visitors and I think he is a fantastic price to pick up another booking. He’s up to seven in the league, was booked against Sunderland last time out despite a 5-0 win and he’s up to three yellows in his last seven league appearances.
Anderson is going to have to be combative against this Chelsea midfield and I like the price on him to get a yellow card at Stamford Bridge.
