Monday Greyhound Tips: Smyth sifts the decent Donny dogs

Our Greyhound tipster, Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle), is back for another week of fine canine fancies. His latest round of Greyhound tips comes from Doncaster.

1 pt 15:41 Doncaster – Devista (T6) @ SP

Three from Doncaster this afternoon on an ultra-competitive twelve race card from the Yorkshire venue. At 15:41 look out for well-drawn wide seed DEVISTA, who lines up from T6 in the B1 graded race over the four-bend 450-metre trip. The Samantha Lapidge-trained March 2023 son of Pestana finished third last time out when beaten a length by Put Things Right who runs from T1.

Devista attempted to lead round but Put Things Right paced up well on that occasion and secured the lead and went onto win by a short head, holding off the late challenge from Magical Boss who wears the white jacket from T3 today with Devista a length further back. This race is all about the break. From a plot draw with a vacant box on his inside, preference is for Devista in T6 to pop out and make all. Put Things Right (T1) has won three of his last five and rates as the main danger.

1 pt 16:37 Doncaster – Trewmount Fury (T3) @ SP

The B3 graded race at 16:37 looks at the mercy of TREWMOUNT FURY who runs from T3. The James Gaskin-trained railer has proven expensive to follow in recent weeks with defeats at Evens and 1/3 twice. Today, the June 2021 son of Good News is likely to prove popular in the market again from what looks like a plot draw.

Leahs Pet (T4) and Gizmo Jeckel (T5) will both attempt to lead round, but they will prove vulnerable late on, so this is all about Trewmount Fury turning third and within striking distance. Kennelmate to the selection, Redbrick Nuke (T6), is two from three in the grade and rates as the main danger. Nuke is going for a hat trick of wins today and would be a huge runner if he turns on the tail of the leaders.

1 pt 17:46 Doncaster – Ruffian Floss (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster is RUFFIAN FLOSS, who lines up from T1 in the D4 graded sprint over the two-bend 275-metre trip. The Ricky Overton-trained pup has only run three times and has caught the eye on each occasion, showing plenty of pace. Today, the August 2024 youngster looks well-drawn to lead round on the rails and if that happens, she will take all the beating.

Knockduff Markle (T2) is four from fourteen in the grade and has a chance with a ping break. Grouchos Tyson (T3) is an October 2024 pup who has won two from five in his short career to date. He’ll be looking to land a knockout blow this afternoon and record another victory for his connections. Jazza Belle (T6) is often there or thereabouts at the finish and could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.
