Premier League Stats & Best Bets for Week 34's Matches.

  • Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest
  • Friday, 20:00
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in five matches, their best run of the season, winning two of the last three - as many as in their previous 14 combined

Best bet: Forest have found form at exactly the right time of the season, finishing the weekend five points clear of the relegation zone, having secured a semi-final spot in the Europa League the Thursday prior. No matter what happens from here, Sunderland have had a storming season and they remain in the running for the European places, just three points off seventh. With both sides hard to separate on current form, we'll take the biggest price in the 1x2 and back the draw.

  • Fulham vs Aston Villa
  • Saturday, 12:30
  • Live on TNT Sports

Key stat: Aston Villa have won their last six Premier League matches against Fulham, while the Cottagers have failed to score in four of their last five top flight games.

Best bet: A promising season looks to be ending with a bit of a whimper for Fulham, for all they are still on the coattails of the European places. The lack of cutting edge in recent weeks has been a concern - they've scored just three goals from 71 shots in the last five - so the visit of a Villa side who've netted eight in their last two matches won't have been on Marco Silva's wishlist. Unai Emery's men showed great character in beating Sunderland last time out having thrown away a three-goal lead and we'll back them to make it seven wins on the bounce over the Cottagers.

  • Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
  • Saturday, 15:00

Key stat: Mo Salah has scored in each of his last three Premier League starts, having only scored two in his previous 14.

Best bet: Liverpool are winless in their last three home clashes with Crystal Palace but their needs are greater than an Eagles side who have Conference League glory on their mind. This is reflected in odds of 4/9 on the home win but we can boost this by adding a Mo Salah goal. The Egyptian appears to be focused on ending his Anfield career on a high and we'll back him to inspire Arne Slot's men to victory against the south Londoners here.

  • West Ham vs Everton
  • Saturday, 15:00

Key stat: West Ham have drawn five of their last six home matches, while each of the last three clashes between these two sides has ended level.

Best bet: Tottenham's complete inability to win a football match meant West Ham's point at Palace on Monday was on balance a good one, but some fans were a bit disappointed the Hammers didn't go for the jugular against a weakened home side. They host an Everton outfit who have been superb on the road, sitting fifth in the 'away league table' with 25 points. Nuno and the returning David Moyes would probably take a point if you offered it, so we'll back the stalemate.

  • Wolves vs Tottenham
  • Saturday, 15:00

Key stat: There have been three or more goals in each of Wolves' last five games, while Over 2.5 Goals has landed in three of Tottenham's last four

Best bet: After an underwhelming start to life as Spurs manager at Sunderland, Roberto de Zerbi looked to have got more of a tune out of his players against Brighton last weekend but familiar defensive frailties meant they only managed a point. The Italian probably realises this Tottenham squad is far better suited to going forward than sitting on the edge of their box so they'll attack Wolves in this must-win game, while Rob Edwards' men will be looking to put a show on for their fans after relegation was confirmed last weekend. We'll back a goalfest.

  • Arsenal vs Newcastle United
  • Saturday, 17:30
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Newcastle have lost eight of their last 11 Premier League matches but they have scored in 18 consecutive games

Best bet: Prince sang that 'sometimes in snows in April' and it's definitely not Mikel Arteta's favourite time of year, with the Gunners only picking up 40 points in the 27 matches played in April during the Spaniard's tenure, his lowest points per game ratio in a month. He will be pleased then that a woefully out-of-form Newcastle are the visitors on Saturday and it's hard to see anything but a home win here. We can boost the price to 15/8 by adding both teams to score; the Magpies always find a way of hitting the net.

  • Manchester United vs Brentford
  • Monday, 20:00
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Brentford have drawn their past five matches, alternating between 0-0 and 2-2 scorelines, while there have been 19 goals in the last five games between these two sides

Best bet: Manchester United bounced back from the shock home defeat by Leeds with a narrow win at Chelsea but the performance wasn't anything to write home about and Brentford will travel to Old Trafford with no fear. The Bees are on an extraordinary run of draws and if the maths continue, this one should be a 2-2. It's not the most scientific bet of the season, but we'd be gutted if it came in and we hadn't backed it…
