Chelsea are in a run of poor form and Manchester United are heading into Saturday’s match on the back of an extremely disappointing defeat at the hands of Leeds United.

Something has to give as both sides are still very much in the hunt for a Champions League spot for the 26/27 season. We’ve put together a 12/1 fourfold accumulator for the match, which kicks off at 20:00 live on Sky Sports. Check out our Chelsea vs Manchester United Bet Builder Tips right here on Betfred Insights…

Total Corners over 9.5

The first leg is very much stat-based as Chelsea average 11.13 corners every time they play at Stamford Bridge with Manchester United at 9.81 for every game they play away from Old Trafford.

Five of the last six matches the home side have played in the Premier League have seen the 9.5 threshold passed, with only the 0-1 defeat against Newcastle falling short - and that was by just one with Chelsea themselves got eight of the nine awarded that day.

Manchester United can’t boast such as good a recent record but in their past two - over 14.5 would have hit on both occasions. In recent games, the Reds’ have been playing a more open game and I’m not expecting that to change on Saturday night. It should lead to plenty of corners and that takes me on to leg two…

Total Shots on Target over 10.5

It might surprise you (it did me) that Manchester United have had the most Shots on Target for any team in England’s top flight - and it isn’t actually that close. Michael Carrick’s team have had 186 through 32 matches with Manchester City second at only 165. That is quite the difference and shows that they are at least entertaining.

On Monday night against Leeds United, a total of 15 Shots on Target were recorded with the home side having nine with the visitors’ six. In recent games the Red Devils have been far more dangerous from set pieces, with Casemiro popping up in good positions and this can easily add one or two to the number.

The visitors’ have three of the top five players for Shots on Target this season with Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko both on 31 with Bryan Mbeumo just the one behind. I’m expecting an open game and think this number has a great chance of hitting.

Casemiro 1+ Shot on Target

Speaking of Casemiro popping up in good positions, for a more defensive-minded midfielder, he’s suddenly become a genuine goal threat from corners.

His record of 16 Shots on Target from 30 appearances isn’t all that but when you look at his recent form, he’s had at least one in four of his past five starts and is averaging one per game across his previous ten. Let’s back him to keep up the hot streak.

Bruno Fernandes to be booked

This is the biggest stretch of the fourfold but every time I watch him play, he’s brilliant on the ball but is constantly moaning to the referee. I know he’s the captain and gets some extra leeway but he always runs the risk of talking himself into the book

The referee is Michael Oliver, who tends to be one of the most lenient among the Select Group but never rule out a Bruno yellow, even if he seems to get away with it more than you’d expect.
