Lucky 15 Tips: Lovely time assured at Bangor on Saturday

13:37 - Karma Police @ 2/1

2m 7f handicap hurdle, and a six-year-old It's Gino gelding (of Sir Gino fame).

Karma Police might sound like a bunch of zealous Culture Club bodyguards but red-hot trainer Harry Derham's charge is a hurdler still seeking that elusive first victory, after five starts.

He comes here after a running-on effort at Newbury, a real G1 track, and the extra 2.5f today in Wales could be just the job. Ben Sutton, who claims a vital 5lb, has the riding assignment.

14:15 - Val Dancer @ 4/1

Decent 3m handicap chase, few line up, but a fascinating, open affair nevertheless.

I'm most taken with the nine-year-old course scorer Val Dancer, who regularly travels further than this in his races and often at slightly loftier levels. Mel Rowley trains in Shropshire, and regular pilot Charlie Hammond has the leg-up.

Six wins from 20 starts is highly respectable, and potentially this would be a richly deserved success at just 2lb above his last winning mark.

14:45 - Mooserwirt @ 6/1

Had to look up the name info - apparently all about an apres-ski entertainment venue. I think.

Mooserwirt is a six-year-old gelding by an Irish Derby winner, and is trained by Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero in Cheshire. Looking at the registered owner/group the mist begins to clear - they're called On The Piste.

Four runs so far for this fella, no joy in terms of troubling the judge, but a best-yet effort last time at Newcastle four weeks ago was encouraging. He gets an extra 2.5f today to get organised, and Toby Wynne takes the mount for the first time.

This isn't a tough heat and it wouldn't be the biggest shock if he were to go close, hailing from a yard based only about five miles from the track.

15:20 - Static @ 3/1
