Wellington Phoenix put a stop to the rot last weekend, overcoming a seven-game winless streak to beat Perth Glory 2-0 at Sky Stadium. The same couldn't be said for Brisbane Roar, who are now seven matches without a victory following their 2-2 draw at home to Western Sydney Wanderers.

The two clubs, level on 24 points in the Australian A-League Men's table, face off against each other at Suncorp Stadium this Saturday (04:00 GMT, TNT Sports 5), and you can build up to the ninth-vs-10th contest by checking out my Brisbane Roar vs Western Sydney Wanderers predictions below, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Anytime Goalscorer - Ifeanyi Eze (WEL) @ 2/1

Wellington striker Ifeanyi Eze was on target in his side's 3-0 win at Suncorp on January 3, and I'm backing him to repeat the feat this Saturday.

The 26-year-old, who has scored eight goals in 20 appearances during his debut ALM campaign, has found the net four times this calendar year, the first of those the opening effort of that 3-0 success at Suncorp in January.

Today's Football Fixtures

Eze hasn't scored in any of his last three games, netting his eighth goal of the season in a 2-2 draw at Western Sydney Wanderers on February 13, but a return to Brisbane, where he enjoyed himself at the beginning of 2026, could bring about his ninth strike.

The Roar conceded twice at home last week and haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 13 matches, so there are obvious frailties in their defence that Eze can take advantage of.

Draw No Bet - Wellington Phoenix @ 13/8

Wellington secured a big confidence boost last weekend with that win over Perth Glory, but that was their first victory in nearly two months, and it was against an out-of-form side that haven't won themselves since January 31, so I'm not willing to go all in on the New Zealanders yet.

Backing the Nix in the Draw No Bet market makes more sense, as while we get reduced odds on them to win, we get the insurance of our stake back should they only manage a draw in Brisbane. With the Roar and Nix each drawing six of their 21 games this season, that feels like a possibility.

The hosts, of course, are even harder to back for all three points as they haven't tasted success since beating Perth Glory 2-1 on January 16, and that is their only win in 16 attempts this calendar year.

Wellington have won the last three head-to-heads, triumphing 1-0 in the Australia Cup preliminary rounds on neutral ground last May before securing a 2-1 victory at Sky Stadium in the league last October and a 3-0 win at Suncorp earlier this year.
