Tuesday Racing Tips: Torpille can gain deserved success
Following the abandonment of Market Rasen on account of a waterlogged track, just three fixtures remain across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, a pair of afternoon jumps cards followed by an evening AW Flat fixture.
The action gets under way with an eight-race card at Leopardstown at 13:55 before a six-race card at Newcastle begins at 14:05, while there are seven races coming up from Wolverhampton in the evening, the first off at 17:25. We’ve focused our attention on the eight-race jumps card at Leopardstown, providing our best three bets from the meeting.

13:55 Leopardstown - Le Moulin Rouge @ 6/5
The Paul Nolan-trained LE MOULIN ROUGE has won plenty in his hurdle runs to date and a repeat performance of his second here over Christmas should see him come home in front.
The five-year-old, who looked set for a place when falling on his sole Irish point start at Monksgrange a year ago, was doing all his best work late on when getting up for third of the 15 runners in a 2m maiden hurdle at Wexford in October.
Upped to just shy of this distance at Leopardstown in December, he ran a lovely race in a first-time hood, sticking on well to beat all bar Gordon Elliott’s favourite Lazore de Star, who has since gone close in Listed company.
Le Moulin Rouge ran to a Racing Post Rating of 125 last time and that’s comfortably the best form on offer.

14:25 Leopardstown - Torpille Dagrostis @ 1/2
Gordon Elliott is enjoying a tremendous season and his good run looks set to continue courtesy of TORPILLE DAGROSTIS in this mares’ maiden hurdle.
The selection has yet to win in seven starts, six of those under rules, but she’s repeatedly been knocking on the door, finishing runner-up in an Irish point, a pair of bumpers and in both starts over hurdles.
She’s taken her form to a new level since switching to hurdles with cheekpieces applied, running to Racing Post Ratings of 118 and 120 over trips ranging from 2m4f to 2m7f.
A drop to 2m5f shouldn’t inconvenience Torpille Dagrostis and a clear run should see her collect.

15:55 Leopardstown - Karoline Banbou @ 4/7
The Willie Mullins-trained KAROLINE BANBOU sets the standard on official figures and will be tough to beat in receipt of a 7lb mares’ allowance.
The selection has rarely finished out of the first two in her career and won a Grade 3 bumper in her native France as a three-year-old.
She had some notable form to her name over hurdles, including a fourth in a Grade 2 at last season’s Cheltenham Festival, and she’s looked every bit as good, if not better, over fences this term, running to Racing Post Ratings of 128 and 130 when runner-up at Fairyhouse in December in January.
Her second on her chasing debut behind Jacob’s Ladder now reads particularly well and a reproduction of that ought to be good enough.
15:55 Leopardstown - Winner
