It has been a tough start to the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign for Western Force and things won't get easier when they head to Navigation Homes Stadium to face Moana Pasifika on Friday morning (06:05, Sky Sports+).

Starting with the hosts, Tito Tuipulotu, Mills Sanerivi and Chris Apoua start in the front row, with locks Tom Savage and Allan Craig in behind.

Moana sent an inexperienced side over to Wellington last week and they were duly punished with a 52-10 hammering at the hands of the Hurricanes at Sky Stadium.

However, the big guns who helped Moana win 40-26 at Fijian Drua in their opening game of the season have been brought back into the side by head coach Tana Umaga.

With one draw and seven defeats, Force are winless in their last eight games in Super Rugby Pacific and it's hard to see them heading back to Perth with anything to show for their efforts this week.

Moana Pasifika have won three of their last four Super Rugby Pacific games when hosting Australian sides and the Auckland-based outfit look to be good value to be leading at both the half-time and full-time whistle in this game.

Western Force have conceded 98 points in their opening two games and their fragile defence will be put to the test from the first whistle on Friday.

Coming in at 20/21, Moana to lead on the scoreboard at the break and full time is worth considering here.
