The curtain comes down on the NRL Premiership’s annual trip to Las Vegas on Saturday night local time when the Canterbury Bulldogs and the St George-Illawarra Dragons take their rivalry to Allegiant Stadium (20:30 local, 04:30 Sunday GMT, live on Sky Sports Action).

Under Cameron Ciraldo, the Bulldogs have re-emerged as a force, but can they get over their finals hump in 2026? Here are my Bulldogs vs Dragons predictions, the latest team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Bulldogs vs Dragons Betting Tips

  • Handicap 3-way: Bulldogs -10 @ 11/10
  • Bulldogs Over 27.5 Total Points @ 5/4

Bulldogs vs Dragons Odds

The Dogs are a heavily-backed 2/5 for the win in Sin City, the implication being that there is a 71.4% chance they come out on top.

It’s 9/4 for the Dragons to pick up the two competition points, while a draw in normal time can be backed at 14/1.

The two-way handicap sees the Bulldogs face an 8.5-pont disadvantage. The Dragons are 5/6 to win with the head-start included, while Canterbury are 10/11 to overcome the handicap.

Team News

Matt Burton will start for the Bulldogs having seen off a hamstring problem he suffered during the Pre-Season Challenge, and both Marcelo Montoya and Jacob Kiraz are ready to go on the wings.

New signing Sean O’Sullivan is among the bolstered interchange options for Ciraldo.

Rugby League Odds

The Dragons can call upon Valentine Holmes, Hame Sele and Josh Kerr since they have recovered from shoulder, head and ankle injuries respectively.

Setu Tu and Dan Atkinson are in line for their St George debuts, with Blake Lawrie and Ryan Couchman among the substitutes available to Shane Flanagan.

Handicap 3-way: Bulldogs -10 @ 11/10

It is high time for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs to be a leading light in the NRL once again.

While they led the way for much of 2025, they saw the Canberra Raiders overtake them on the way to the Minor Premiership and then failed to register in the finals, losing to both the Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers.

But there is great hope that they can capitalise if they make a similar start this term, and I fancy them to get going with a W this weekend.

With Burton and Lachie Galvin leading the way in the halves and a star-studded three-quarter line to back up their ever-improving middle forwards, this looks like a Bulldogs team that can truly do some damage.

I like the look of them starting off with a win of two scores or more in an environment which has been ripe for points over the last couple of years. Offered for a win of five or more seems generous to me.

Bulldogs Over 27.5 Total Points @ 5/4

That tendency for big scores leads me to believe the Dogs can post at least five scores at the Allegiant.

In the six games in Vegas over 2024 and 2025, there came an average of 59 points per match. Only one winning side in the half-a-dozen fixtures scored fewer than 28 points on their way to success.

And this is a Bulldogs side which can sure put up some points if the conditions are helpful. Gone are the days under Dean Pay and Trent Barrett when it would be ambitious to expect them to hit double figures.

So the 5/4 available for them to score more than 27.5 looks well within reach.
