Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Ice and Minty are fresh tips

1 pt 18:04 Suffolk Downs – Blue As Ice (T4) @ SP

Three from Suffolk Downs this evening on a competitive mixed featuring seven open races. At 18:04 the S4 graded race over the six-bend 548-metre trip can go to well-drawn BLUE AS ICE, who lines up from T4. The Laura Pruhs-trained November 2022 daughter of Malachi has a chance to lead round and if that happens, she will prove very hard to beat. In recent weeks, Blue As Ice has mixed it in decent four and six-bend races but has often finished as the bridesmaid.

Tonight, if she pops out in best fashion and leads off the second bend, she can win for the first time since December. Kennelmate Flyhigh Cerberus rates as the main danger from T2. It's imperative that Blue As Ice clears that rival at lid rise and skips a couple clear of the chasing pack. Mcsquizzy (T1) is a consistent course and distance performer who will be staying on well looking to pick up the pieces late on.

1 pt 18:39 Suffolk Downs – Roanna Mamba (T4) @ SP

The Suffolk Downs Standard open race at 18:39 looks to be at the mercy of class act ROANNA MAMBA, who runs from T4. The Michelle Brown-trained Towcester raider bolted up over course and distance last week, clocking 23.52 following a flashy 4.44 sectional, a repeat of that would see the October 2022 son of Pestana land this race. Mamba is in flying form, winning five of her last six with victories at Central Park and Suffolk Downs.

His only defeat this calendar year was over the two-bend 220-metre trip at Suffolk Downs when finishing second behind Moaning Hearns. Tonight, it's all eyes on the boxes, trap well, and this will be all over bar the shouting down the back straight. Gothic Opera looks well-drawn in T1 to chase home the selection and fill the forecast spot.

1 pt 19:51 Suffolk Downs – Razldazl Minty (T2) @ SP

The third and final selection at Suffolk Downs this evening is RAZLDAZL MINTY, who runs from T2 in the Stayers open race at 19:51 over the six-bend 548-metre trip. Yarmouth raider Minty looks well-drawn to grab the rails at lid rise and if that happens, she has a chance of repeating her quick-away-made-all success from a week ago over course and distance. In an ultra-competitive race, the key is the break. Minty can’t afford a tardy exit from the boxes.

Farneys Tearaway rates as the main danger from T3. The Kevin Boon-trained middle seed is a class act and would be a huge runner on the bunny. New Ground (T4) impressed over course and distance last week, winning in 34.29. The January 2024 son of Grangeview Ten is drawn a little wider than ideal in T4 and will need to avoid a bump at the bend to get involved this evening. Westfield Vicky is plotted up out in T6 as the solo wide seed in the race. A vacant box on her inside strengthens claims, and she’s worth noting in the market.
