Lucky 15 Tips: Jaccours can put his best foot forward

With no Irish racing on the agenda on Monday, we've got just the three meetings from Britain to sink our teeth into. The quality isn't through the roof, but there should be some competitive action on offer.

Plumpton's seven-race card is the first meeting to kick off and the other National Hunt fixture starts at Ayr shortly afterwards, with Wolverhampton taking us through the evening. Below are my Lucky 15 Tips, which include a last time out winner for trainer Olly Murphy, who is set to have a cracking day up in Scotland.

15:00 Ayr - Jaccours @ 6/4

Murphy is sending plenty of runners up to Ayr and most of them have decent chances, with one of the more likely winners JACCOURS, who won a maiden hurdle in heavy ground at Ffos Las last time out.

Out of a French chase winner, the switch to fences could facilitate a significant amount of improvement.

This is also the seven-year-old's first start in handicap company, which could also encourage the lightly raced gelding to take a step forward.

The Murphy and Sean Bowen combination is always dangerous and the former has four winners from just 10 runners at the track so far this year.

Bowen's 48 per cent strike-rate is even more impressive during the current campaign, with 11 winners from 23 rides.

15:30 Ayr - Green Hope @ 13/8

Irish trainer William Crawford has never had a runner over jumps in Britain before, but that's set to change on Monday as he sends GREEN HOPE over for a novice hurdle at Ayr.

Isaac Souede and Simon Munir's retained rider J J Slevin heads over to take the ride too.

Weakening when unshipping Brian Hayes at the final flight on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown, he left that run well behind him when scoring at Down Royal next time out.

That was a competitive race and the form looks like the best on offer here.

16:00 Ayr - Diamond Geezer @ 2/1

It's going to be hard for the other trainers to spoil the Murphy and Bowen party at Ayr on Monday and their representative DIAMOND GEEZER is very much the one to beat.

Scottish tracks have treated him well so far, with both of his wins coming north of the border.

The first of those was a Class 4 event at Perth in October and he did pretty well to win on that occasion, as his jumping wasn’t up to scratch on the whole.

He won with plenty in hand over course and distance last time out and a 7lb rise might not be enough to stop him.

16:30 Ayr - Lirion @ 4/5

Conditional jockey Lewis Saunders comes in for the ride on Murphy's LIRION in the concluding bumper and his 5lb claim could come in handy.

This five-year-old made his debut in a bumper at Huntingdon in March and ran well enough, finishing second by a wide margin.

It's worth noting that the winner was former Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite Mydaddypaddy, so the form looks pretty solid.

He's entitled to improve for the experience but even if he doesn't, a similar performance would put him bang in the mix.

If all four selections won at the quoted prices, a 50p win Lucky 15 would return around £70 for a £7.50 total stake.
