Team News  

With Dino Toppmoller recently being given his marching orders as Frankfurt manager, interim boss Dennis Schmitt has to deal with a selection headache in attack. Belgian forward Michy Batshuyai is still recovering from a broken ankle, Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga is also out injured until February. 

This means Ansgar Knauff is set to lead the line for the German outfit on Wednesday. Admittedly, not a household name for those who only have a passing interest in the Bundesliga. Then again, those viewing this encounter will certainly be aware of the skills of Mario Götze. Even at the age of 33, he is still more than capable of pulling the strings in the middle of the park.  

More midfield injury woe for Tottenham manager Thomas Frank to deal with. With Rodrigo Bentancur already out injured until April, teammate Lucas Bergvall is now set to be absent for the same timeframe. Just to make things worse for Spurs, both Pape Sarr and Joao Palhinha are doubts for the trip to Frankfurt. 

Which means Spurs may be forced into playing a defensive back three in just a few hours. This Champions League bid has usually been any two from the trio of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven or Kevin Danso. With so many players unavailable further forward, it means they are all get the nod in this final league phase encounter.

Eintracht Frankfurt are priced at 3/1 to win this game, with Tottenham the favourites at 4/5. That gives the away team an implied win probability of 55.6% while a draw can be backed at 11/4.

Tottenham to win both halves @ 18/5 

A dead rubber for Eintracht Frankfurt, Tottenham manage to excel in Europe even if they stutter domestically. The perfect breeding ground for a Spurs win to secure their current automatic standing for the Round of 16. Just don't mention the word 'Spursy' within the confines of the Deutsche Bank Park. 

If Spurs can play just as they did against Borussia Dortmund and less like how they did against Burnley on Saturday, then an already exited Eintracht side should be no match for last season's Europa League winners. Not enough value in simply backing the away win in 90 minutes, plenty if you fancy the visitors also being ahead at the interval.

I also fancy a large serving of goals on Wednesday mainly for the same reasons above but also a look at the raw numbers solidifies my stance further. Especially when you look at how generous Eintracht Frankfurt's defence has been in each of their last five matches.  

A quintet in all competitions where they have conceded exactly a trio in each. Tottenham more than capable of slotting three past the Bundesliga representatives on Wednesday night, more than capable of conceding themselves. For this reason over 3.5 goals at 13/8 represents a great price before we get underway.
