Championship leaders Coventry City have recovered from a slight slump that saw them go four league and cup games without a win. Frank Lampard's Sky Blues have now won successive games in the league against Leicester and Millwall but they face a tough test at Carrow Road against Norwich City on Monday (20:00 kick off, Sky Sports Football).

The Canaries may be just above the relegation zone but they have won three games in succession, scoring a dozen goals and are fresh from hammering West Brom 5-0 last time out.

Team News

The home side are without left-back Lucien Mahovo due to a muscle problem that could see him absent until March. He joins the likes of Ante Crnac, Amankwah Forson, Gabriel Forsyth, Jeffrey Schlupp and Mirko Topic in the Canaries treatment room.

Jose Cordoba and Anis Slimane impressed as half-time subs in the comprehensive win at West Brom and could push for starting slots, but Josh Sargent is likely to miss out as his future remains uncertain amid talk of a move to the MLS.

League leaders Coventry are once more likely to be without defender Bobby Thomas. He has missed three games through suspension and is suffering from a calf issue that would rule him out now, despite his availability having served his ban for a red card in the defeat at Birmingham.

Right-back Kaine Kesler-Hayden has also missed three games with an ankle injury but is back in training.

Norwich vs Coventry Odds

Despite their three-game winning burst in league and cup, Norwich are as big as 15/8, with the Canaries having managed just three home league wins in 13 attempts this season.

Coventry are 6/5 but backers will be wary of a side without an away league victory in the last five. The draw trades at 23/10 for this Carrow Road showdown.

Over 2.5 goals is priced at 4/6, while both teams to score rates an 8/15 shout for this Monday night Championship battle.

Over 3.5 goals @ 13/8

Wins over Leicester and Millwall have steadied the ship for Coventry after a four-game winless streak from late December culminated in an FA Cup exit at Stoke.

They've come out 2-1 winners in both those recent successes and Lampard's side are now without a clean sheet in six league and cup games, while both teams have scored in their last four in the Championship.

The Sky Blues have lost only three of their 14 away league games but they have failed to win in the last five (D3, L2), while Norwich's record at Carrow Road in the Championship shows just three wins from 13 games (D1, L9).

Those three victories have come however in the last five and boss Philippe Clement will rightly feel they are making progress given the 12 goals scored in wins over Walsall, Wrexham and the Baggies. Goals could be key to this clash.

Bet Builder: Haji Wright & Jovon Makama anytime goalscorers @ 5/1

Continuing with the goals theme, ace marksmen Haji Wright & Jovon Makama make a decent anytime goalscorer combination.

Wright was Coventry's match-winner against Millwall last time, coming up with a late winner for the second game on the trot and taking his league tally into double figures despite failing to fire since October previously. The American is a big threat with his confidence up.

So, too, is Makama for the home side, with nine goals in his last nine games since the middle of December. He didn't find the net in the 5-0 Hawthorns romp but the striker may do so here.
