Juventus vs Napoli Prediction: Hosts to squeeze past title rivals

Juventus will look to put pressure on the teams in the top four in the Serie A when they host third-placed Napoli on Sunday evening (17:00, DAZN). The Old Lady are fifth in the table on 39 points, but they could climb into the top four if Roma slip up this weekend as the two teams are only split by three points, while the hosts have the superior goal difference.

Team news

Juve head coach Luciano Spalletti is without three first-team players for this clash as Dusan Vlahovic, Daniele Rugani and Jonas Rouhi are all absent through injury.

With Vlahovic unavailable, Jonathan David will lead the line for the Old Lady.

Football Odds

Napoli boss Antonio Conte's injury list is pretty hefty, with Matteo Politano and Amir Rrahmani both suffering muscle injuries during last week's 1-0 win over Sassuolo.

The former Juve coach is already without Kevin De Bruyne, Billy Gilmour, Frank Anguissa, Alex Meret and David Neres through injury and they are all expected to miss Sunday's trip to Turin.

With Sunday's game set to be played at the Juventus Stadium, the hosts are 21/20 favourites to pick up all three points, while the draw is 21/10 and Napoli are 3/1 outsiders.

Both teams to score is available at 11/10, with four of Juventus' last six home games in Serie A seeing both sides find the back of the net.

David is 8/5 to score anytime, while he 7/2 to open the scoring on Sunday evening.

Napoli have won the last two meetings 2-1 and a repeat of that is priced at 12/1.

Juventus' 2-0 win over Benfica extended their unbeaten record at home to 15 matches and they look good value to improve that record at the expense of Napoli.

Spalletti's men have been so strong at home and it looks a tall order for a Napoli side decimated with injuries to avoid defeat.

Napoli are winless in their last two visits to the Juventus Stadium and with the spine of their midfield missing, they should fall short against their high-flying hosts.
