Ipswich vs Bristol City Prediction: Robins set to struggle in Suffolk

Ipswich will look to keep pressure on the top two in the Championship when they welcome Bristol City to Portman Road on Tuesday (19:45 GMT, SkySports+).

Kieran McKenna's team are third in the second-tier standings, two points behind second-placed Middlesbrough. They also have a game in hand and Tuesday's fixture represents a winnable opportunity, even though the Robins are ninth in the table and only three points off the top six.

Ipswich forward Jaden Philogene is expected to miss this midweek encounter after suffering an injury in Saturday's 3-0 win over Blackburn. He was replaced after 39 minutes by Jack Clarke, and it should be the former Leeds United and Sunderland ace who gets the nod to start.

George Hirst returned from injury against Blackburn and will look to build up his minutes from the bench, but Conor Townsend remains sidelined through injury.

Bristol City still have Luke McNally, Joe Williams, Cameron Pring, Max Bird and Jason Knight in the treatment room, but goalkeeper Radek Vitek returned to keep a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw against Oxford last week.
