Thursday night’s football schedule is highlighted by action from the Bundesliga, Serie A and the Copa Del Rey, with Milan’s visit to Como the pick of the contests.

We have put together an acca that pays out at 10/3, if successful.

Middlesbrough (A) to beat West Brom @ 7/4

This feels like a bit of a risk given West Brom could experience a new manager bounce, after Ryan Mason's dismissal and Eric Ramsay's appointment. He’s the former Minnesota United boss but at just 34 is another risk for a club that is certainly putting their faith in young managers.

He could be brilliant and the players will want to impress him, but I’ve seen enough of Kim Hellberg’s Middlesbrough to believe they are going to be automatic promotion contenders come April, and I believe they will just have too much quality for the hosts. Ramsay has a big test on his hands.

Double Chance - Girona or Draw (A) vs Espanyol @ 9/10

Over to Spain now and I think there is value in backing against Espanyol on Friday night. They host Girona, but the home side have failed to win their last two outings and I quite like the look of Girona right now.

They may sit 13th, but they’ve won three of their last four games and that sole defeat came against Atletico Madrid, so they are performing to a high level. I think I’d rather back them to get at least a point for our acca than pick Espanyol to win on balance.

Atalanta (A) to beat Pisa @ 3/5

Our European tour continues as we go to Italy where Pisa and their leaning tower host an Atalanta side that have found their groove. After a slightly below-par start to the campaign they have now won six of their last seven games in all competitions and won their last three in Serie A without conceding a goal.

It should be a ‘Pisa cake’ for them to take another maximum away from the hosts, who sit 19th and are deep in a relegation battle this term.

FC Lorient to beat AS Monaco @ 9/2

From Italy to France for our final two picks and this is the big-value selection. From what I can gather, AS Monaco are in a bit of a pickle right now, having lost four of their last five league games and dropped down to ninth in the table. New (ish) boss Sebastien Pocognoli doesn’t have a whole load of experience and I think FC Lorient are difficult opponents.

Lorient sit 12th but they are unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions, taking us right back to November 2. I think they can put up a good battle here, and wouldn’t be surprised at all if they come away with all three points.

PSG (H) to beat Lille @ 4/9

PSG were stunned by local rivals Paris FC in the French Cup on Tuesday, and although this game comes quickly for Luis Enrique, I would expect a comprehensive and brutal response. Ousmane Demebele and Desire Doue began that shock defeat on the bench, and if they both come in we should see a more clinical attacking unit.

Lille will pose a tough test but they have lost their last two outings and will likely come up short when push comes to shove.

This five-fold pays 65/1.
