Angola vs Egypt Prediction: Salah and Marmoush in 7/2 Price Boost

Anything could happen in Marrakesh on Monday when Zimbabwe take on South Africa with both teams still well in the mix for qualification from Group B of the Africa Cup of Nations (17:00 local, 16:00 GMT, live on 4seven).
Bafana Bafana are in second spot, meaning a draw would be enough for them. Yet a win for the Warriors could send them through at their opponents’ expense. My Zimbabwe vs South Africa predictions follow, along with full team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Team News
After reaching the quarter-finals two years ago, Angola are going to have to end Egypt’s 100% start to the 2025 Afcon if they are to get out of Group B.
They could make changes from the side which was pegged back by Zimbabwe on Friday, with Maestro and Zito Luvumbo both potentials for a recall to the starting XI.
Egypt coach Hossam Hassan will be very tempted to ring the changes now that his side have clinched top spot in the section with a game still to play. Mohamed Hany is definitely out due to suspension after his red card against South Africa.
There will definitely be an eye on momentum, though, and that could result in the likes of Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush getting a fair chunk of the action ahead of the Pharaohs’ Round of 16 tie in Agadir next Monday.
Angola vs Egypt Predicted Lineups
- Angola: Marques; Mata, Buatu, Carmo, Carneiro; Mukendi, Show; Benson, Fredy, Dala, Nzola
- Egypt: El Shenawy; Eid, Ibrahim, Abdelmaguid, Rabia, Hamdy; Zizo, Attia, Mohamed; Salah, Marmoush
Given Egypt’s speedy progression, there’s potential value to be had in backing the group winners to add a third victory. They’re 13/8 to win, making them only slight favourites. Angola are 15/8.
The draw is a 2/1 chance, while it’s 11/10 for Both Teams to Score.
Mo Salah is, predictably, the 4/1 best-backed player to score the opening goal.
Angola vs Egypt Stats
- Egypt are unbeaten in 7 previous encounters (W4, D3)
- Both teams have scored in 4 of their 7 meetings, with Egypt winning 2 of those matches
- Between them, Salah and Marmoush have combined for 14 shots (6 on target) in Egypt’s Group B campaign so far
Price Boost: Mo Salah 2+ Shots on Target & Omar Marmoush 1+ Shot on Target @ 11/4 7/2
Betfred are offering a generous price boost centred around their two main threats up front.
Salah has scored in both games so far, including an injury-time winner against Zimbabwe and a penalty to settle the MD2 clash with South Africa.
Meanwhile, Marmoush was a constant threat against Zim. He had eight shots in total, with half of them hitting the target. And he followed that with a shot against Bafana Bafana on Friday.
So I can see both of them causing issues for Angola, and the 7/2 which suggests a 22.2% probability of the pair hitting the target seems great value.

Both Teams To Score – Yes @ 11/10
With one eye on next Monday, you can see why Egypt might be susceptible at the back.
They were breached by Zimbabwe in game one, and Angola have to go for it if they are to have any further involvement.
So you’ve got to expect that this one will be an open encounter, making the BTTS bet an appealing proposition at odds-against.
