After reaching the quarter-finals two years ago, Angola are going to have to end Egypt’s 100% start to the 2025 Afcon if they are to get out of Group B.

They could make changes from the side which was pegged back by Zimbabwe on Friday, with Maestro and Zito Luvumbo both potentials for a recall to the starting XI.

Egypt coach Hossam Hassan will be very tempted to ring the changes now that his side have clinched top spot in the section with a game still to play. Mohamed Hany is definitely out due to suspension after his red card against South Africa.

There will definitely be an eye on momentum, though, and that could result in the likes of Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush getting a fair chunk of the action ahead of the Pharaohs’ Round of 16 tie in Agadir next Monday.

Angola vs Egypt Odds

Given Egypt’s speedy progression, there’s potential value to be had in backing the group winners to add a third victory. They’re 13/8 to win, making them only slight favourites. Angola are 15/8.

The draw is a 2/1 chance, while it’s 11/10 for Both Teams to Score.

Mo Salah is, predictably, the 4/1 best-backed player to score the opening goal.
