Barcelona have an opportunity to go seven points clear at the top of La Liga when they host Osasuna on Saturday. The visitors are winless on their travels and huge underdogs at Camp Nou.

It was not the most convincing performance from Barça in midweek. Up against an Eintracht Frankfurt side that had conceded four or more goals on five occasions this term, a big home victory looked likely.

However, the Germans competed well throughout and took the lead through Ansgar Knauff. The forward's goal was almost a mirror image of many of the others that Hansi Flick's side have conceded over the past few months. With acres of space in behind, the 23-year-old raced through the heart of the home defence to convert a one-on-one opportunity.

As has also usually been the case, Barcelona responded to going behind and ultimately sealed a slightly unconvincing 2-1 victory. Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski all started that game, while Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford featured off the bench. Despite having so much attacking firepower on the pitch, the goals came from an unlikely source, with right-back Jules Koundé scoring twice in the space of four second-half minutes.

That was a fourth straight win for Barcelona in all competitions. They've won each of their last six matches in La Liga since losing El Clásico. With Real Madrid faltering badly, a nine-point swing has taken place, with the Catalans now the clear favourites to successfully defend their league title.

Osasuna will do their best to put a dent in that charge this weekend. However, there is little reason to think they are going to come to Camp Nou and cause what would be one of the shock results of the season.

Alessio Lisci has found it tough going since taking over at El Sadar in the summer. The ex-Mirandés boss has only overseen four league wins so far in a total points return of 15 from 15 games.

He would have taken positives from their last two outings in La Liga, though. Late goals from Raúl García and Flavien Enzo Boyomo rescued a point in a 2-2 draw at Mallorca a fortnight ago. They'd only scored one away goal all season prior to that.

Los Rojillos were also victorious in a key game at the bottom of the table on Monday night, when they saw off Levante 2-0 at El Sadar. They had the better of the play against their managerless opponents, and emerged with a vital three points thanks to first-half goals from Víctor Muñoz and Rubén García.

The visitors can also take a degree of confidence from a brilliant 4-2 victory over Barcelona when the sides met in Pamplona last September. Their record away to the Catalan giants doesn't make for great reading, though. They've been beaten to nil on each of their last five visits.

Team News:

Gavi and Dani Olmo are the only definite absentees for Barcelona due to injuries. Ronald Araújo has also been taking a mental health break over the past fortnight, and it's unclear whether he'll return to play any role on Saturday.

Barcelona are in Copa del Rey action against Guadalajara this coming midweek. The Osasuna clash will take priority over that one, but we may see light rotation from the Eintracht Frankfurt match, with Ferran, Rashford and Frenkie de Jong among the strongest candidates to come in.

As for the visitors, they'll be without long-term absentee Iker Benito again, while defender Juan Cruz is suffering from a bout of flu and isn't expected to feature.

Neither of those players are regulars, so Lisci should be able to pick his strongest lineup. He may bring in an extra centre-back for this game, having started with a back four against Levante on Monday night.

TV:

Barcelona vs Osasuna in the La Liga 25/26 season will be shown live on LaLiga TV in the UK. Kick-off is set for 17:30 on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Barcelona vs Osasuna Predicted Lineups

  • Barcelona: J. Garcia, Kounde, Cubarsi, Martin, Balde, Pedri, E. Garcia, Yamal, Raphinha, Rashford, F. Torres
  • Osasuna: Herrera, Arguibide, Boyomo, Catena, Bretones, Moncayola, Torro, Munoz, Oroz, R. Garcia, Budimir

Barcelona vs Osasuna Odds

Barcelona are the 2/11 favourites to win this match. The Draw is priced at 13/2, while Osasuna are available at long odds of 11/1.

For bigger returns on the hosts, you can back Barcelona -2.00 Handicap at 5/4. The hosts are also on offer at 6/4 to score over 3.5 goals in the game, while you can back Barça to win both halves at 21/20.

Alternatively, Osasuna are on offer at 3/1 to win either half. You can back Both teams to score at 8/13, a winning bet in 14 of the last 16 matches involving Flick's team in all competitions.

The German is currently leaving punters guessing as to how his attack will shape up. Ferran, who scored a first-half hat-trick in a 5-3 win at Real Betis last weekend, may return up front. He's priced at 3/1 to score first and 8/13 to score anytime.

Lamine Yamal has less competition on the right flank, with the teenager available at 4/5 to get on the scoresheet. You can also back Raphinha to score anytime at 4/5, while Osasuna's main goal threat Ante Budimir is priced at 7/4 in the same market.

Barcelona vs Osasuna Stats

  • Barcelona are one of only two clubs in La Liga with at least a five-game winning streak (Villarreal are the other).
  • The home side have by far the best Shots on Target/90 Minute number at 7.31. Real Madrid are second with 6.69.
  • Osasuna only score from 24% of their Shots on Target. Good for just 15th best in the league. Barcelona are second at 37%.
  • Barcelona have four of the top five players for Shots per 90 (Yamal, Rashford, Raphinia, Lewondowski).

Bet 1 - First Half Double Chance - Draw or Osasuna @ 11/8

Barcelona's tendency to start matches slowly has become a recurring theme in recent weeks. They've let in the first goal in each of their last five matches in all competitions. Meanwhile, 75% of the goals they've conceded in La Liga this term have come before the interval.

No visiting team in the Spanish top flight has scored a second-half goal in Barcelona, so if Osasuna are going to make any impact in this game, the opening 45 minutes may be their best chance.

Los Rojillos have tended to keep it tight before the break when they play away. Six of their eight road games in La Liga have been goalless at the interval, and I'm backing Draw or Osasuna at odds of 11/8 in the First-Half Double Chance market here.

Bet 2 - Barcelona to win & Under 4.5 goals @ 11/10 via Bet Builder

Barcelona's quality is still likely to show over the course of 90 minutes. They've won 10 of their 11 home games this season in all competitions, with only reigning European champions PSG denying them in front of their own fans.

Osasuna are likely to set up in a very defensive fashion, if their recent tough away games are anything to go by. They've already travelled to play the other five members of the top six. Lisci's side only scored one goal across those matches, but their heaviest defeat was only a 2-0 loss at Real Betis.

They were only beaten 1-0 in away games against Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid. Their formation may take the shape of a 5-4-1 when they don't have the ball, which will make it difficult for a home side that showed a few signs of fatigue in midweek.

Therefore, I can't see the hosts running riot here, and I'm using the Bet Builder to back Barcelona to win and Under 4.5 goals at 11/10.
