Team News
Joseph Aidoo (hamstring) and Pablo Duran (shoulder) are out injured for Celta Vigo, who beat Real Madrid 2-0 in La Liga last Sunday.
Williot Swedberg came off the bench for the injured Duran and bagged a brace against Xabi Alonso's side, so the Swede looks like a shoo-in to start on Thursday.
Ferran Jutgla, Iago Aspas and Fran Beltran will also be eyeing promotions from the bench.
As for Bologna, left-back Charalampos Lykogiannis is free to return after serving a ban in last month's 4-1 victory over Red Bull Salzburg.
However, Remo Freuler (shoulder), Lukasz Skorupski, Ciro Immobile (both thigh), Nicolo Casale and Martin Vitik (both muscle) are injured for Vincenzo Italiano's team.
Celta Vigo vs Bologna Predicted Lineups
- Celta Vigo: Radu; J. Rodriguez, Starfelt, Alonso; Carreira, D. Rodriguez, Beltran, Mingueza; Swedberg, Zaragoza; Jutgla
- Bologna: Ravaglia; Holm, Lucumi, Heggem, Miranda; Pobega, Ferguson; Orsolini, Odgaard, Dominguez; Dallinga
Celta Vigo have won both home matches so far in this year's competition, beating PAOK 3-1 and OGC Nice 2-1. Os Celestes are 11/8, or a 42.1% chance, to make it three in a row on Thursday, with Bologna 2/1, implying a 33.3% probability of success, and the draw offered at 9/4.
Celta Vigo vs Bologna Stats
- J. Rodriguez (CVI) has committed five fouls across three UEL apps this term (two starts)
- Both teams have scored in eight of CVI's last nine home games
- BTTS-Yes has landed in six of BOL's last seven away matches
Player to Receive a Card - Javi Rodriguez (CVI) @ 10/3
Celta Vigo defender Javi Rodriguez, who usually plays on the right-hand side of a three-man back line, has committed five fouls across three Europa League appearances (two starts) this term. He was whistled once for upending an opponent in a 2-1 loss at VfB Stuttgart, where he started, and as a late substitute in his side's 3-1 victory over PAOK, he again made a single foul.
His last outing in the competition was Celta's 3-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb on November 6, when he committed three fouls, all on the home side's left winger, Arber Hoxha.
Whoever starts on the left of Bologna's attack on Thursday could pose Rodriguez plenty of problems, too.
If it's Nicolo Cambiaghi, Rodriguez's 10/3 price for a card becomes even more tempting.
The 24-year-old is averaging 4.8 fouls won per 90 in Serie A this season, and in the Europa League, that number rises to 5.7, as he has been taken down 17 times in four appearances (averaging 67 minutes played per game).
Another potential starter on the left for Bologna is Benjamin Dominguez, who has been fouled seven times in six Serie A appearances this season (2.6 per 90), and won one free-kick in his sole Europa League match against Red Bull Salzburg, despite only coming on in the 69th minute.
The conditions are there, then, for Rodriguez, who picked up seven yellows in 36 La Liga games (26 starts) last season, and has been cautioned twice in 13 league appearances (10 starts) in 2025/26, to receive a card on Thursday.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 8/11
Both teams have scored in eight of Celta's last nine home games, including both in the Europa League.
Bologna, meanwhile, have seen BTTS-Yes land in six of their last seven away matches, including their last trip in the Europa League, a 2-1 victory over FCSB in Bucharest, Romania, on October 23.
These are two pretty evenly-matched sides, both doing well in their respective leagues and coming into this contest on the back of encouraging results, Celta having beaten Real Madrid at home and Bologna having taken a point from their trip to Rome, where they took on Lazio.
