QPR vs Birmingham Prediction: Blues’ dreadful away form to continue

Queens Park Rangers will look to build on their weekend victory over West Bromwich Albion at Loftus Road when they host Birmingham City on Tuesday (20:00 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event) in the Championship.
The Blues' poor away form continued on Saturday as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Southampton. My QPR vs Birmingham predictions can be found below, along with team news and the latest match odds.

Team News
Rayan Kolli remains out of action due to injury for QPR, which is frustrating boss Julien Stephan.
He said: "I'd like to use him more but with the injuries it’s difficult. I think he has very good potential but, like all young players, he needs to train and needs the consistency.
“Of course it’s very disappointing for players when they are not on the pitch. We have to support him and continue to help him find the solution in order to be able to train normally and to play.”
Ilias Chair will need to be assessed after he was forced off at the weekend with an injury, so he is considered a doubt for Tuesday.
Harvey Vale, Sam Field and Ziyad Larkeche are also ruled out through injury.
Scott Wright is back in training for Birmingham but it is still likely going to be a while before he returns to action.
Lee Buchanan (knee), Ethan Laird (hamstring) and Willum Willumsson (unspecified) remain out of action for the Blues.
With Jack Robinson replacing Alex Cochrane at Southampton during the game, the former Sheffield United man may come into the XI here in the latter's place.
QPR vs Birmingham Predicted Lineups
- QPR: Nardi; Mengue, Dunne, Cook, Norrington-Davies; Varane, Madsen; Kone, Saito, Chair; Burrell
- Birmingham: Beadle; Iwata, Neumann, Klarer, Robinson; Doyle, Paik; Roberts, Stansfield, Gray; Ducksch
QPR are 7/4 (implied probability of 36.4%) to come out on top here, having won three of their last four matches - including their previous two home appearances.
Birmingham have drawn one of their past two away matches and the stalemate is available at 21/10.
The Blues are 7/5 to collect the three points, which they have only managed twice in 10 attempts on the road.
Over 2.5 goals has been a successful bet in five of the hosts' last seven outings and it is valued at 10/11 to strike on Tuesday.
QPR vs Birmingham Stats
- QPR have won their last two home games
- Three of Birmingham's last four away matches have ended in defeat
Draw No Bet - QPR @ 1/1
Given Birmingham's polar opposite form when playing away from St. Andrew's, QPR should be looking forward to Tuesday's clash, especially after already taking down one West Midlands side in West Brom just a few days ago.
The Rs have now made it three wins from four and they have won back-to-back home games in the league for the second time this season.
Birmingham's latest defeat at Southampton was a mixture of squandering chances and once again being too easy to score against. It seems apparent that the Blues need a different approach on their travels than they do at home because they are surrendering far too much space.
Davies will try and gee up his players to find a response here but given that they have been poor on the road all season, a sudden fix seems unlikely. However, they were able to rescue a point at West Brom a couple of weeks ago and if they can get into a rhythm here at points in the game, they may have enough to leave with a point.
But I still fancy QPR to come out on top so I'm covering them in the Draw No Bet market.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 8/11
Birmingham may be woeful playing away from home but in recent outings they have shown more of a threat. They have found the net in each of their last three road trips in the second tier, with BTTS - Yes striking in all three (Middlesbrough, West Brom and Southampton).
For QPR, there have been goals at both ends in all five of their latest home games in the league, while BTTS - Yes has struck in their past two appearances in the Championship (home and away) against Norwich City and West Brom.
The Rs continually leak goals at home and Birmingham are way too easy to score against on their travels, that's a nice blend for goals on Tuesday night, right?
