Lucky 15 Tips: Nine-race Lingfield card perfect vehicle for our bet

13:00 - Hot To Hot @ 9/2

A mile maiden for two-year-olds - and as the standard isn't too lofty concerning those that have had a run or two, I'm going for an unraced juvenile, trained by James Tate at Newmarket.

The famous Jabar Abdullah silks are carried here by the yard's Too Darn Hot colt Hot To Hot. The outstanding Hector Crouch, 30% strike-rate over the last fortnight, is doing the pushing and he's well-drawn in the four box.

Three of James' last 12 runners have obliged so with the principals in such good nick this well-bred youngster is entitled to go very well indeed.

13:30 - Quite Sweet @ 5/2

Tony Carroll trains, and Marco Ghiani has been booked to ride.

Quite Sweet is a three-year-old filly who won last time out, 39 days ago at Southwell, with a career-best. Off a mark of 51 she comfortably disposed of one of Tim Easterby's that's been placed and won subsequently, and the 6lb hike won't be easy to shrug off.

Connections resist the temptation however to put up a claimer to offset the rise, and I'm taking that as a sign of a degree of confidence. Marco's only involvement in the horse's five-race career was last time, so again it's heartening that the partnership is maintained.

14:00 - Likealot @ 7/4

Rossa-time - and a consistent, admirable Camelot filly out of a Dalakhani mare (Likeable) - namely Likealot.

Ryan has been on board for seven of her previous eight career starts and won on her when the horse made her debut at Chelmsford in February. Since then she's been placed and gone close on several occasions, including at Wolverhampton four weeks ago, finishing a 1.5l second at this 12f trip.

Her mark of 85 is unchanged, and though she has no secrets from the handicapper she's as likely as any to give her running. Trainer Ralph Beckett has had three winners from his last 15 runners, and another could well be imminent courtesy of this very genuine type.

14:30 - Muy Muy Loco @ 9/4

A 10f Class 6 handicap, and our selection for me appears to be the most likely to prevail - BUT I would say that, wouldn't I!

Muy Muy Loco is a three-year-old gelding fresh from winning here at this trip 49 days ago, making up a tremendous amount of ground to snatch the spoils in the shadow of the post.

Paddy Bradley had the riding assignment that day and retains the partnership this afternoon. That's Muy Muy Loco's only win in 13 attempts, and he's been raised 3lb - but he's in-form, even if his trainer Simon Dow is quiet just now.

Genuine low-grade handicapper who will probably tuck in from his wide draw (9), and come with another wet sail, fingers crossed.

If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £230 for a £7.50 total stake.
