Leeds vs Aston Villa Prediction: Goals on the cards at Elland Road

The first of Sunday's two fixtures sees Leeds United welcome Aston Villa to Elland Road (14:00 BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event).
The two sides were in contrasting veins of form prior to the international break as the hosts have lost four of their last five top-flight encounters, while Villa have tasted victory in five of their last six league matches. Team News
Sebastiaan Bornauw and Wilfried Gnonto are both doubtful for the hosts, but that apart, Daniel Farke has a fully fit squad to choose from.
As for the visitors, Unai Emery will be without Andres Garcia and Tyrone Mings, with the latter expected to be out until the new year with a hamstring problem. Ezri Konsa was sent home by Thomas Tuchel during the recent international break, so the defender could be sidelined for Sunday's clash.
Lamare Bogarde, Amadou Onana and Matty Cash also picked up injuries with their nations during the break, although all three are expected to be fit for the weekend.
Leeds vs Aston Villa Predicted Lineups
- Leeds: Perri; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Gudmundsson; Ampadu; Aaronson, Longstaff, Stach, Okafor; Nmecha
- Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Lindelof, Torres, Digne; Kamara, Onana; McGinn, Rogers. Buendia; Watkins
Leeds are 21/10 to claim all three points, while Villa are 7/5 - giving them an implied win probability of 41.7%. If you fancy the draw, that's available at 9/4 and both teams to score - yes can be backed at 4/5.
Ollie Watkins leads the anytime goalscorer market at 7/4, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is shortest-priced for the hosts at 21/10.
Leeds vs Aston Villa Stats
- Leeds have failed to score at home just once this term
- Villa have only kept one clean sheet away from home
- Both teams have scored in five of Leeds' last seven matches
Both teams to score - yes @ 4/5
Leeds may be in poor form but their spirited home performances offer some hope in terms of survival.
Both teams to score looks a good bet on Sunday, as the hosts certainly pose a threat on home turf and Villa have conceded five times in their last three road trips across all competitions.
Villa's shaky start to the season is a distant memory - their 4-0 thumping of Bournemouth prior to the international break means they've only failed to score in one of their last 12 matches.
In addition, Leeds have scored in four of their five games at Elland Road, with five of their last seven league games finishing with both sides on the scoresheet.

Emi Buendia to score anytime @ 18/5
I'm going steer clear of predicting the match result as Villa's away form is putting me off backing them outright and Leeds' form is too poor to make me consider them.
So, I'm opting for Emi Buendia to score anytime on Sunday, at the very reasonable price of 18/5. Buendia has one goal in six career matches against Farke's side, and he has four goals for Villa this term - netting in the recent win over Bournemouth, as well as scoring their most recent league goal away from home.
The Argentina international only played 20 minutes in the 2-0 win over Andorra so he should fit and raring to go here.
