Over 2.5 Goals Tips: Entertaining Emirates encounter features in 14/1 five-fold

Fleetwood Town vs Swindon Town (15:00) @ 4/5

Only Chesterfield (3.4) and Grimsby (3.27) games are averaging more goals in League 2 this season than Swindon Town (3.07), whose away matches are averaging 3.29 goals.

The Robins top the Over 2.5 Goals table in England’s fourth tier with 73% (11) of their 15 league games finishing with three or more strikes.

Fleetwood Town (53%), joint-seventh in the Over 2.5 Goals table, are sixth for average goals per game (2.93) in League 2, with their home matches averaging 3.71 - the highest in the division.

Both meetings between Swindon and Fleetwood last season saw four goals scored, with the Wiltshire club winning 3-1 at the County Ground in December before triumphing 4-0 at this weekend’s venue, Highbury Stadium, in April.

Notts County vs Harrogate (15:00) @ 4/5

Notts County also feature prominently in League 2’s Over 2.5 Goals and average goals per game tables, sitting joint-second (67%) and joint-seventh (2.87), respectively.

Harrogate are in the bottom half of both tables, but five of their last six games across all competitions, including four of their last five in League 2, have produced at least three goals.

The Sulphurites now travel to Meadow Lane to take on Notts County, who have scored a joint league-high 17 home goals in the fourth this term, so hopes are high that we will see at least three strikes on Saturday.

Brazil (N) vs Senegal (16:00) @ 4/6

This looks like a rare occasion this season that the Emirates Stadium will see at least three goals scored in a men’s game.

Five of the last six matches that Arsenal’s men’s team have played on home soil have finished with two or fewer goals, but I have no such concerns for this international friendly between Brazil and Senegal, two sides who like to entertain.

Brazil played two October friendlies in Asia, thrashing South Korea 5-0 in Seoul before letting a two-goal lead slip in a 3-2 defeat to Japan in Tokyo.

Senegal, meanwhile, were in competitive action last month, battering South Sudan 5-0 in Juba and Mauritania 4-0 in Diamniadio to book their place at the 2026 World Cup finals.

With the likes of Nicolas Jackson, Sadio Mane, Iliman Ndiaye and Ismaila Sarr in the Senegal squad, and Joao Pedro, Vinicius Jr., Estevao and Rodrygo called up by Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti, there should be plenty of attacking firepower in north London on Saturday, so I’m backing plenty of goals.

Georgia vs Spain (17:00) @ 8/15

October’s reverse fixture in Elche only produced a couple of goals as Spain won 2-0, but that remains the only Group E game for both La Roja and Georgia that has finished with two or fewer goals.

Spain also had a first-half penalty saved in that match, so they will feel that the margin of victory should have been greater.

Georgia know that their chances of a top-two finish are all but over, with Turkey six points clear with two rounds of fixtures remaining, so they can afford to show some adventure on Saturday in Tbilisi, while Spain, as ever, will look to rack up a big scoreline.

That win against Georgia last month is Spain’s only game in the last 11 that hasn’t featured at least three goals.

Sport Recife vs Flamengo (21:30) @ 5/6

Flamengo, level on points with leaders Palmeiras with six rounds of fixtures remaining, will be going all out to collect all three points against bottom club Sport Recife on Saturday.

Rubro-Negro have picked up seven points from the last nine on offer to equal the points tally of Palmeiras, who lost 2-1 to Mirassol last Sunday.

Flamengo, who have seen 47% (15) of their 32 league games this season finish with over 2.5 goals, beat Santos 3-2 on the same evening, three days after drawing 2-2 at Sao Paulo.

Today's Football Fixtures

Their first game of the month also ended with over 2.5 goals as they beat their next opponents, Sport Recife, 3-0 in Rio de Janeiro.

Filipe Luis' side now travel to Arena Pernamuco in Sao Lourence de Mata to take on a side that has lost their last five games, with three of those featuring three or more goals.

Like Flamengo, Sport Recife have been involved in 15 Serie A matches this season that have finished with 3+ goals, and with relegation basically assured, they can afford to open up and go for goals on Saturday, at least trying to score in front of their own supporters.
