Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United Stats-Based Bet Builder Tips: 7/1 pick for more United progress

Manchester United may not have been able to win five games in a row as they dropped points against Nottingham Forest, but they have certainly turned a corner. Next up, the Red Devils travel to London to face Tottenham Hotspur (12:30, TNT Sports 1), with Spurs beating Copenhagen 4-0 in the Uefa Champions League in midweek.

BTTS
We have to expect both teams to score in this one. Manchester United have seen both teams find the net in 70% of their Premier League matches, ranking them second, just behind Brighton. Meanwhile, Spurs just can’t be trusted from a defensive standpoint, but they do offer a threat going forward as we saw in the Champions League.
I’m expecting this to be a cracking game with plenty of action at both ends and I can’t see either defence keeping a clean sheet. Let’s kick off our Bet Builder with BTTS.
Draw or Manchester United
You have to say, the turnaround for Manchester United over the past month has been outstanding. 10 points from four games has seen them rocket up the table and I think they can take advantage of a hit and miss Spurs outfit that have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five outings.
I can’t quite understand Thomas Frank’s system at the moment, and Jamie Carragher pointed out an awful lot of flaws. I can’t see the home side getting a win in this game given the attacking talent the Red Devils possess.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United Bet Builder Stats
- Casemiro has picked up three yellows and one red in the PL this season
- Manchester United have 10 points from their last four
Casemiro to get carded
Casemiro has got three yellow cards and one red in nine Premier League matches this season and is always the man to make a big tackle or foul in a minute. I don’t think anyone else in the Manchester United team does what Casemiro does, and in this midfield battle, he is certainly going to have to get stuck in. A lack of pace may lead him to get another yellow on Saturday.
Tottenham vs Manchester United Odds
Bryan Mbeumo to score
Let’s round off by backing Bryan Mbeumo to bag another goal. I know Benjamin Sesko has improved, Matheus Cunha is dangerous and Bruno Fernandes is the penalty taker, but Mbeumo still feels like the most likely goalscorer in this team. Four goals in 10 league games is a reasonable return, plus we might get to see him up against Micky van de Ven in what would be a spectacular race.
I’m happy to back him to find the net for the away side, given I believe they will come away from the capital with at least one point. This Bet Builder pays 7/1.
