Football Bet of the Day: More home joy for Charlton

Saturday is not short of matches to choose from when it comes to picking out my Football Bet of the Day. We at Betfred Insights have you covered game-by-game for the day's Premier League action, so I am looking at the Championship for my selection.
I am particularly drawn to the clash between Charlton Athletic and Swansea City (15:00 GMT), and you can find out my chosen bet below.
Football Bet of the Day - Saturday, November 1
- Match Result - Charlton Athletic @ 11/10

Charlton Athletic vs Swansea City Odds
Swansea have won two of their last five matches in the league and they are 3/1 to leave south east London with three points.
Charlton's last outing was a draw against Hull City and the stalemate is priced at 21/10.
Sonny Carey has bagged four goals for the Addicks in the Championship and he is 16/5 to add to his tally on Saturday.

But the value in this game lies in a home win, in my opinion. Charlton may have gained promotion back to the second tier via the play-offs last season but they are currently faring better than both record-breaking Birmingham City and big-spending Wrexham.
Nathan Jones has been doing an excellent job at The Valley and I can't say I am too surprised with how well his side have started the season. Many pegged them to struggle and likely go down. With Jones at the helm, I was confident Charlton would settle quickly back in the Championship.
Another home fixture gives them the opportunity to cement their place in the top six. They currently sit sixth on 19 points, with goal difference the only thing keeping them there at the moment.
The Addicks will want a bit more security, despite this still being a very early stage of the season. A victory here could move them up as high as fourth, but that seems unlikely given Bristol City's advantage when it comes to goal difference.
However, they have the potential to give themselves some breathing space from Preston North End and Hull City, who are both sat on 19 points.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Charlton have won three of their five home league games this term
- The Addicks have won two of their past three fixtures
Charlton should be feeling good about their chances against Swansea because Alan Sheehan's side have struggled for consistency and this is currently holding them back from making a credible push for the play-offs.
This is reflected in their away form (2W 1D 2L) but they do head to The Valley unbeaten in their previous two away trips against Blackburn Rovers and Southampton. The latter result would be more impressive if the Saints had not so far looked nothing like we expected from a side freshly relegated from the Premier League.
Charlton have a much stronger side than both of those clubs and this will be a much more difficult test for Swansea. The hosts have been excellent on home turf - winning three of their five games while only conceded three goals in the process.
Defensive organisation is a foundation of this Jones-led team, while they back themselves to be clinical in key moments. After all, this is a side that recently went to Portman Road to take on pre-season promotion favourites Ipswich Town and beat them 3-0 like it was nothing.
The league table is already suggesting that this Championship campaign is not going to go according to script and Charlton are taking full advantage. They come into this contest unbeaten in three matches so I am confident that they can pick up another three points on Saturday.
