Swansea City will be given a huge test in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday (19:45 GMT, Sky Sports+) when they host Manchester City. The Swans were victorious at home against Norwich City in the Championship last weekend.

Man City, meanwhile, were beaten at Aston Villa in the Premier League, and so they will look for an immediate response here. Read on for my Swansea vs Manchester City predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Swansea will once again be without the services of defender Ricardo Santos due to a knee injury, but the Swans have no other fresh injury concerns to deal with heading into this clash.

Malick Yalcouye was out of the squad at the weekend through suspension, and his ban carries over to the Carabao Cup.

Alan Sheehan will likely make changes from Saturday, with Adam Idah in line to feature up front, while there should also be places for both Benson Manuel Hedilazio and Ishe Samuels-Smith.

Football Odds

Man City forward Erling Haaland will need to be monitored ahead of Wednesday after colliding with the post at Villa Park. Pep Guardiola was likely to rest the Norway international anyway, so Omar Marmoush may be tasked with leading the line for the visitors in his place.

The Egypt international is still waiting to open his account for the campaign, so he will hope for a good run out in South Wales. There may also be starts available to the likes of Jeremy Doku, James Trafford, Nico Gonzalez and Mateo Kovacic.

Rodri, Abdukodir Khusanov and Rayan Ait-Nouri are the other three injury doubts for the Citizens, with decisions on the trio likely to be made on Tuesday.

Swansea vs Manchester City Predicted Lineups

  • Manchester City: Trafford; Nunes, Stones, Ake, O'Reilly; Lewis; Bobb, Kovacic, Nico, Doku; Marmoush

Today's Football Fixtures

Swansea vs Manchester City Odds

Swansea are 12/1 to pull off an upset in regulation time. The draw is valued at 11/2, which has been the outcome in three of the Swans' seven home games in the Championship this term.

Man City are the 2/9 favourites to win this clash in 90 minutes, but you will find an improved price of 19/20 (implied probability of 51.3%) for them to win to nil - which they have accomplished seven times this season.

Swansea vs Manchester City Stats

  • Man City have won the last seven meetings with Swansea
  • City have won seven games to nil this season in all competitions

Manchester City to win to nil @ 19/20

After Sunday's disappointment, City will look to get back on track immediately. It may not be a league game but this cup tie can serve as a useful exercise to Guardiola and his players.

Rotation is expected as they will need their best stars fit and firing for a tough home game against high-flying AFC Bournemouth on Sunday in the Premier League. Even with an altered XI, there should be more than enough quality for the Citizens to get past Swansea away from home.

The Swans have found consistency an issue in 2025/26 so far and they are up against a team filled with talent across all areas of the pitch. The hosts have failed to score in two of their previous three outings, so I think backing Man City to win to nil has value, especially as seven of their eight wins this term have been accompanied by a clean sheet.

Omar Marmoush anytime goalscorer @ 11/10

Whether he's fit or not, I am expecting Haaland to be give a well-earned rest on Wednesday so that he is given time to recuperate for Bournemouth. This should give Marmoush an opportunity to impress his manager as he tries to push his way back into the first XI.

His start to the season was impacted by injury and he is still waiting to score his first goal, but I think this could be the right time to get it. His movement and technical ability can cause all sorts of problems for Swansea, and I think they will have a tough time of it trying to keep him quiet here.
