Hull City vs Leicester City - 1-1 @ 11/2
Hull City got an impressive 3-2 away win at Birmingham last time out and they have overperformed compared to their pre-season expectations, so they will fancy their chances against Leicester. The Foxes have a lot of talent but have now drawn five of their last six games, and I can’t separate these two on Tuesday night.
Conor: 1-2
Nick: 1-2
Millwall vs Stoke City - 1-1 @ 5/1
Stoke City have made a flying start to the new season under Mark Robins and their 1-0 success over Wrexham took them to third in the league. The Potters have only lost twice this term, while Millwall have responded to a 4-0 home defeat to Coventry with wins over West Brom and QPR. That fence is looking comfy once again… 1-1.
Conor: 1-1
Nick: 1-0
Blackburn Rovers vs Sheffield United - 0-2 @ 14/1
Have Sheffield United finally turned a corner? I’m going to say yes under Chris Wilder, after the Blades secured a vital 1-0 win over Watford.
I think Wilder has to focus on building a solid foundation, and so I will back them to keep another clean sheet and find three points against a Blackburn Rovers outfit that look to be in real trouble. They’ve only got one point from their last four and I’d expect them to lose this one as well.
Conor: 0-1
Nick: 0-1

Ipswich Town vs Charlton Athletic - 3-0 @ 11/1
Ipswich Town lost to Middlesbrough on Friday night as George Hirst missed a penalty, but they should be able to get back to winning ways as they host Charlton Athletic. Charlton are yet to beat a team in the top half, while Ipswich have picked up 11 points at home and scored an impressive 13 goals in the process, a scoring record only Coventry City can match. Big home win expected.
Conor: 2-1
Nick: 2-0
Portsmouth vs Coventry City - 1-1 @ 13/2
How long can Coventry stay unbeaten? This Sky Blues fan is hoping this train keeps on rolling, as the table-toppers are 10 undefeated, and they’ve now won their last four without conceding a goal. However, Fratton Park is a notoriously difficult place to go and they are unbeaten in their last three having drawn 1-1 at Leicester on Saturday night.
Pompey took Boro’s unbeaten record in their last home game, but I’ll back Coventry to just about escape with theirs intact.
Conor: 0-2
Nick: 1-1
Preston North End vs Birmingham City - 1-1 @ 5/1
Birmingham have had a slow start to the season given their pre-season expectations, and now sit 17th having lost at home to Hull and they face a Preston North End outfit that sit in eighth but did lose to West Brom in their last outing.
PNE are unbeaten at home this term but Birmingham have a lot of quality, so I will back another draw here.
Conor: 2-2
Nick: 1-1
Derby County vs Norwich City - 0-0 @ 15/2
Two teams in deep trouble right now meet at Pride Park. Liam Manning is reportedly on the brink of losing his job given that Norwich have lost every home game so far this term and although their away record is better, they lost at Portman Road prior to the international break. Derby have won just one game all season, drawing five, but John Eustace will see this fixture as a great opportunity to get their campaign moving in the right direction.
I can’t separate these two strugglers though, and will back a nervy 0-0 on Tuesday night.
Conor: 1-1
Nick: 1-0
Bristol City vs Southampton - 0-1 @ 17/2
Bristol City ended a run of four games without a win by beating Norwich at Carrow Road over the weekend, but they’ve won only one home game this term at Ashton Gate. Southampton may be struggling in terms of points but the underlying data is very good and I would expect them to rise up the table over the course of the campaign. They can secure a vital away win here.
Conor: 1-1
Nick: 1-2
Swansea City vs QPR - 1-1 @ 11/2
Swansea City currently sit 13th having only won one of their last five, while QPR saw their unbeaten run ended at the hands of Millwall last time out. It makes this fixture incredibly tough to call as I feel they are two well-matched teams… draw.
Conor: 1-0
Nick: 1-0
Watford vs West Brom - 2-1 @ 9/1
I like a lot of this Watford squad and just feel Javi Gracia will generate a positive atmosphere during his Vicarage Road return. West Brom beat Preston 2-1 but were hammered 3-0 by Millwall in their last away match, so I’ll back a narrow Watford win.
Conor: 1-2
Nick: 1-1
Wrexham vs Oxford United - 2-0 @ 17/2
Wrexham’s struggles have been well publicised this term, but they will fancy their chances of picking up three points at home against Oxford. The U’s got a vital 1-0 win over Derby but have only got one win on the road so far. I think Wrexham’s individual quality should shine through.
Conor: 3-1
Nick: 3-0
Sheffield Wednesday vs Middlesbrough - 0-3 @ 12/1
Sheffield Wednesday are in the mire and Wednesday fans are protesting this game by not attending. Boro should make their quality show in a comfortable away win, with the strange atmosphere probably benefiting them. This scoreline looks to be a great price.
Conor: 0-4
Nick: 0-2
