QPR vs Millwall Prediction: Will R’s continue unbeaten run?

Saturday’s early kick-off in the Championship sees QPR host Millwall in an all-London clash (12:30, Sky Sports Main Event). The R’s have been on a resurgent run ever since they were hammered 7-1 by Coventry City, going unbeaten in their last six.
They will hope to keep that run going as Alex Neil’s Lions visit Loftus Road. Below you can find my QPR vs Millwall predictions.

Team News
Julian Stephan was happy to see some of his players away on international duty, even if it meant he couldn’t work with them this week. "I prefer having some players away with their international teams as it means we have good players."
Koki Saito deservedly made his debut for Japan against Paraguay while Rumarn Burrell and Isaac Hayden were both away with Jamaica - Rayan Kolli also featured for Algeria 'A' during this October break.
"We will have some players coming back on Friday so we have to reconnect them in one day but it's not only Millwall, we have two games away after that," said Stephan. The manager also said in his pre-match press conference that attacking midfielders Kwame Poku and Ilias Chair are back in full training and could feature over the next week with a trip to Swansea to come on Wednesday.
Millwall look as though they will be able to name the same team as the one that beat West Brom 3-0 before the international break, with Neil once again set to name a 4-2-3-1 formation with Will Smallbone in an attacking role behind Josh Coburn.
Mihailo Ivanovic will therefore have to settle for a place on the bench as the gaffer ditched his 4-4-2 early in the campaign, with Thierno Ballo and Femi Azeez hoping to provide the threat from the wide areas.
QPR vs Millwall Predicted Lineups
- QPR - Nardi, Dunne, Morrison, Cook, Esquerdinha, Varane, Madsen, Dembélé, Kone, Saito, Burrell
- Millwall - Benda, Leonard, Crama, Cooper, Sturge, Luongo, Mitchell, Azeez, Smallbone, Ballo, Coburn
QPR are the favorites to win this game at 13/8, while Millwall have been priced up at 15/8 to take all three points. That gives the home side an implied win probability of 38%, while a draw is up at 21/10 if you fancy a share of the spoils.
Over 2.5 goals is 5/4, BTTS is 10/11 and Kone is the favourite to open the scoring at 5/1.
QPR vs Millwall Stats
- QPR are unbeaten in six
- Millwall haven't lost on the road in the Championship
- Kone has four goals in eight games
BTTS @ 10/11
I’m going to back both teams to score in this game, based on the strength of both attacks. Kone is a sensational striker and QPR’s unbeaten run has coincided with him breaking into the starting XI, but they also have the likes of Saito, Kolli and Burrell to rely upon.
Seven of QPR’s first nine league games have ended with BTTS while Millwall hit three past West Brom in impressive fashion before the international break. Their last three away matches in all competitions have seen both teams find the net so I think it’s a sensible shout in this one.

Bet Builder - QPR to win and Richard Kone to score @ 7/2
Millwall are unbeaten on their travels this season in the Championship but QPR are flying right now, on a six-game unbeaten run. Stephan’s side have been rock-solid during that run and I think this game will contain a lot of goals - although Millwall have been up and down in terms of results.
The 3-0 victory over WBA was impressive. The 4-0 home defeat to Coventry that came prior to it - was not. I think Kone, who has four goals in eight Championship appearances, should trouble the Millwall goalkeeper - so let’s back him to score along with a home win in this simple Bet Builder.
