20:01 Nottingham - T1 (Air Flyer) @ SP

Tonight's maiden Standard Trophy over 500m gives us an ideal opportunity to record our first victory on these shores since moving from Shelbourne Park in Ireland. We have raced twice at Sheffield and twice at Towcester, showing huge potential in all races so far. We have just been run out of it close to home over the 660m trip last week and will enjoy this drop back to 500m.

T2 won at odds on two runs back in A3 grade here. Not so good when upped to open race company over four bends last week. Looking at split times we should easily lead this runner and there in lies our chance.

T3 races A2/A1 here and comes here on the back of a recent victory. This will be a lot tougher and she will struggle to hold us early on in this contest. When upped to open race company is winless from three tries. That form does not instil much confidence.

T4 will be moving more mid to wide on the run up. Time wise this dog is a little off tonight's runners and to me will be one of the outsiders.

T5 mixes four and six bend races here. Very consistent in his grade and does win the odd race in A2. But this is harder and brings a record of zero wins from nine attempts when stepped up to open company. I feel that may rise to no victories in 10 tonight.

T6 is a Yarmouth raider who has never been here for a look and this track is completely different to his home circuit. Because of that, this one will run off at the first bend and that can end his chance straight away. Only a mid-grader back at his usual track and is in against some good dogs this evening. More than likely will go off a double figure price for tonight's contest.

So to us in T1, good draw on the rails to pace up in front of T2. We can force our way to the front by bend two and use our middle pace to kick clear down the far side. If we lead, none of these runners can back run us as we have form over an extended trip in Ireland. I'm very confident of a big run and make this runner my bet of the day.

We are yet to win here but have been running really well and were slightly unlucky to come up against some fast runners. This has resulted in some quick times for us. Any of the times we recorded on September 21 and 26 will be more than good enough to win this afternoon's contest. Our race make up will suit us and we can turn handy and stay best.

T1 is a bit of an enigma here. Very slow starts over the two bend trip but exceptional pace once he gets going and thought good enough to attempt a maiden open in an inter-track race at Sheffield. Slow starts proved costly, but this trip may be the making of him. However, I'm worried about the start. Still rates main danger to us.

T2 is a runner I think will put the pace to today's race. I see this one Easily out-trapping T1 and claiming the rails. This should draw us out and we can tune in this runner's shoulder at the bend.

T4 is an ex-season bitch stepping back up in trip from sprint distances. Would've been a massive danger had she been able to reproduce July's times but, since coming back on to the card, simply hasn't been in that type of form. Getting fitter and stronger each week so one to watch in the next month or so, but not for me today.

T6 was made favourite for a similar contest last week. Led but easily picked up and their end time was four or five lengths slower than us. Does have a good draw on the outside and will be prominent around the first two bends.

So to us in T3, good draw and quicker than these in na clean run contest. We can turn third at worst and come through down the back to win this race going away. Very confident choice.
